My Crafty Weekend

I feel like it has been a long time since I had a large group of cards to post as a result of weekend fun in the craft room--today is the day.

First up is a bunch of cards inspired by Kay's beautiful card at Muse #231.

Kay's Inspiration Card
I loved the idea of the lightly stamped city skyline and a beautiful floral focal point.  I created two Mother's Day cards using PTI City Scene and Gran's Garden stamps.

I am also entering this card at CAS on Sunday #107: Use glitter or sequins (I used sequins).

I made another version of the same card, using different die cuts from Grans Garden.  I am entering this card at Time Out #82: Flowers (where I am on the DT).

While I had all the buildings from City Scene set up in my Misti, I made a few Father's Day cards. Why should the Mother's Day cards get all the fun, right?

I am entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes and Addicted to Stamps and More #239: Clean and Simple.

Are you sick of this design yet?  I have one more Father's Day card, and I am entering this one at AAA Cards #89: Bright and Beautiful.

My parents as well as my In-Laws are all from New York, so I think they will appreciate the New York themed cards.

The sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #285 inspired my next card.  I flipped the sketch.

Last up is a pair of cards I made with the Bloom & Grow kit.

The first card is inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #219, and I used the Stenciled Water Color Background technique from Make it Monday #282.

You can pull the flowers up to see the sentiment.

One more card from Bloom & Grow, this one using the patterned paper in the kit.

I am entering this card at Seize the Birthday Anything Goes.

That's it for me this weekend.

CASology Week #246: Season

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is Season.  I think that spring is my favorite season.  Even though our San Diego winters are pretty mild, I still really love the change in the air when spring finally arrives.

And, when spring is here, then it's time for Passover.  This year, we had a bunch of my daughter's friends join us for our Seder--it is always a treat to spend time with my daughter and her friends.  We had a few who came last year, and enjoyed it so much they wanted to come back, and a few who had never been to a Seder before.

Spring also means Easter, and I was able to use the same design for a Easter card for a friend.

I am also entering my card at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Showers and/or Flowers.

Now it's your turn.  How does SEASON inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

PTI Blog Hop April, 2017

I'm playing along today with the PTI April 2017 Blog Hop where we have this photo for inspiration.

I took my inspiration primarily from the colors and the grey stem of leaves in the upper right part of the picture.  The shape of those leaves reminded me of Turning a New Leaf.

Lots to see on the hop, so I won't keep you.  Happy hopping.

Weekend Recap

I have 3 cards to post today.  First up is a card for Make it Monday #281: Patterns behind Die-Cut Windows and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Showers and/or Flowers.

I used Background Basics Woodgrain as my pattern behind the window, and the Woodgrain Texture IP for the card front.

Next up is a card inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #218.  I loved the wavy look that our Time Out Guest Designer Michelle showed in her inspiration card, and incorporated that idea into this card.  I am also entering this at Seize the Birthday, where I have used only 1/2 of the optional topping.

Last up is a card inspired by the gorgeous Muse card by Jenni at Muse #212.

Jenni's Inspiration Card

I was inspired by the single color scheme and the flowers.  I used a sunflower stamp from PTI and a sentiment from MFT.

Time Out #81...Reminder...Happy Birthday

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this time is a Home Sweet Home challenge, and we have this beautiful photo for your inspiration.

I was inspired by all the butterflies in various shades of pink.  I used a Stamplorations Stamp set, generously provided to me for this challenge, called Winged Things.  I stamped an entire card front, then colored and shaded with Copic markers.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Michelle, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge.  Stamplorations is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

CASology Week #245: Grow

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is grow.  Lots of fun ways to approach this word.  I chose to break out some flowers I haven't played with in a while.  My image is pretty simple, but there are three different dimensions on the card, adding interest without too much fuss.

Now it's your turn.  How does GROW inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

CASology Week #244: Strong

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is strong.  I was thinking of how much stronger I have gotten since picking up a few extra strength training classes at the gym, so I went in that direction.

Now it's your turn.  How does STRONG inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.
