I should have been grocery shopping, doing laundry, and a hundred other things. But, I made some cards instead.
I used the technique from this week's Make it Monday #269 on my first card. After outlining my image in Copic marker, I also sponged Raspberry Fizz ink around the center of the flower.
I was inspired by this beautiful card at MUSE Challenge #95. I pulled out a brand new landscape die from Sugar Pea Designs, and also wanted to have my sentiment curve around the die cut, just like Anita did on her inspiration card.

I am also entering this card at Sugar Pea Mix it Up Challenge #26: Anything Goes.
I was inspired by quite a few challenges to pull out my old Candy Cane Christmas stamps and dies for this next card.
I am entering this card at Freshly Made Sketches #266, Addicted to Stamps and More #223: Holiday, Curtain Call Sweet, AAA Cards #79 Christmas, Christmas Card Challenges #1: Candy Cane, and Merry Monday #225: Candy Cane.
The challenge this month at Memory Box #19 is Metalllics, so I dressed my polar bear in a bit of gold before sending him on his way to say hello to my daughter in Maine, whose school mascot is a polar bear.
Last up is a birthday card for my neice who is studying to be a teacher. I am entering this card at Less is More #305 where the challenge is primary colors. (Now, I am wondering if green is actually a primary color or not???)
Well, that's it for me today. I really cannot put off making dinner any longer.
Thanks for Visiting
Holy smokes, you DID make some cards!! They're all fabulous (as always!), but I like the polar bear so much!! He's so cute!
ReplyDeleteWow, you were a very busy lady! Love all your fantastic cards! My favorite is your last design. There is so much dimension, those pencils really pop! Don't know what they meant by primary but any kiddo will tell you green is in any basic set of crayons!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous set of cards, Joyce! You have got me itching to have a play in my craft room but I shall have to wait until the weekend :) The flowery pencils and chalkboard alphabet are perfect for a teacher's card. I love the simplicity of your silhouette landscape card too. Great to see you at Less is More!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds faniliar :)! I have to do all the "other stuff" first and then allow myself time in my craftroom :)
ReplyDeleteLove all the cards! Such a great set! Couldn't pick a favorite; they all have something that appeals me! Have a good and fun weekend!
Oooooo, yum, Joyce! Now I want a warm cup of hot chocolate! Lovely and CAS. Thanks for playing along at AAA Cards.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great collection of cards you made this week Joyce, and I can totally see why you'd rather stamp than grocery shop and clean house!! I love your MIM card...SOOO pretty!! Loving your Polar bear card too...I've been on a bit of a Polar bear kick myself lately, so that card with the lovely gold scarf really reached out to me! :0)
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing set of cards Joyce! You've been so productive and they all looks fantastic! I love your card for Less is More with the gorgeous background and pops of colour in the pencils. A little more empty space would keep the card truly CAS, but it's a stunner and your niece will love it! Thanks so much for playing along with us :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Joyce, loving the pretty pink one with the gorgeous daisy esp. Thank you so much for sharing with us over at 'The Flower Challenge' and we hope to see you again soon ;) Viv DT xx

(I loved your comment about being too busy buying new stuff to use old stuff... So true. We all need a 12 step program). Your Congratulations (flower) card is fantastic. What a great technique! I have to look into that one. I also love the navy on white landscape card. Looks fantastic, but now I need that die. sigh. Love the cup of candy canes - yay you for pulling out some old sets!! And thanks for that entry at AAA Cards. I love it. That polar bear is fantastic, and what a great card for your daughter. Will she fly home for the holidays?? Finally, great birthday card for a teacher. I love the chalkboard background and the bright pencils and sentiment. Just a wonderful array of cards. I always look even if I don't have time to comment just then. You are always an inspiration to me!!
