Happy Little Stampers Case The Designer October 2016...Birthday Wishes

Hello and happy October.  I'm here to post a card for Happy Little Stampers Case the Designer challenge.

Our inspiration this month is provided by Birgit.  Take a look at this gorgeous inspiration card.

Birgit's Inspiration Card

I love the vintage-backgrounds that Birgit often creates for her cards, and I tried to so something similar on my card.  I started with a Soft Stone card front and stamped a text background stamp repeatedly over the entire page in very pale grey ink.  I added some snowflakes in Stormy Sea ink, stamped off once.

I also was inspired by the bird focal point on Birgit's card, and so that is what I used on my card.

The 12 Kits of Occasions: September, 2016

It's time for our September 12 Kits of Occasions group post.  Our host this month is Jeanne from A Kept Life, and her theme is "This is Halloween".  I am not kidding you when I say that my kit arrived in a large cardboard BOX, bursting at the seams.  Here is a peek at the Kit Jeanne sent.

Here are the cards I made this month.  I kind of left it to the last minute, and I am so glad that I got the self assembling card kit.  7 cards magically put themselves together before I could blink.  Of course, I have so many left over supplies--wonderful bits I just did not have time to work with--I am set for life for Halloween.

Time Out #67...Seriously You're the Best

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this time is Friendship with the optional twist of embossing.  Also, there is an extra prize if you use embossing and pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Birthday Gifts and Sympathy

I had so much fun playing with Cupcake Inspirations last week, I'm back again this week for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #377.  

What is a party without a pile of gifts, right?  I took my inspiration from the colors of the balloons as well as the little banners in the upper left side of the photo.  As soon as I saw this card by Lizzie during the latest PTI release, I knew I had to have that pile of gifts stamp and knew I would make this card.

I am just sneaking in under the wire with a card for CAS Colours and Sketches #192.  I made a sympathy card to add to my stash.  I really liked the clean and spare design of this sketch.

Papertrey Blog Hop September 2016

Belated Birthday Wishes

I am popping in quickly with a card for Cupcake Inspirations #376, which is about to close.  I am pretty sure that this is my first time playing there.

I really loved the color scheme, and thought I'd give it a try.  I used the Color Pop Autum stencils and stamps for my card, and the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #225.

I added a some leaves in WPlus9 Fairy Dust, because the panel looked a bit empty, and hope that it is OK to add a neutral color to the challenge colors.

Inkspirational Guest Designer...Glamour

Today I am here as a Guest Designer for Inspirational Challenges.  This card of mine was picked as the winner of their cakes challenge. 

The challenge word is:  Glamour

As soon as I learned the challenge word, I knew exactly what stamp set I would use--Fashion Sense from PTI.  I went with a very simple and glamourous dress design.

I love this sentiment--so encouraging, especially for girls.
