Time Out #59...Happy + Cake + Day



Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this time is:

Masculine with Optional Twist of Mixed Media

(For the purpose of this challenge, we are defining 'mixed media' as stamps and ink plus two other elements that add texture and/or dimension.)



Our sponsor this time is STAMPlorations, and I chose to use their really cute birthday set called World Birthday Cakes.  There are several iconic images in this set, each converted into a birthday cake.  Very fun.


I heat embossed the Leaning Tower of Pisa image in white, and then sponged distress inks over and around it.

    I keep seeing these stamps but this is the first time I've noticed that all the monuments are cakes! I've really got to pay closer attention...

    Last time I 'tried' to ice a layer cake, it looked remarkably like this one...rather tilted, but 'not' on purpose. One layer from now on! Fabulous tower cake; amazing inking! Yum!
