Welcome Baby and Happy Mother's Day

Hi there.  I am stopping by quickly with a card that popped into my head as I was browsing through some of my favorite challenges this morning.

I just bought this Poppystamps Small Elephant die, and could not wait to use it.

I am entering this card at Poppystamps Challenge #20 Pretty in Pink, Less is More #74: Use designer paper in a CAS way and Addicted to CAS #87: Plaid.  I dug through my patterned paper pads until I found this itty bitty scaled pink plaid in an old Valentines pad.

One more quick card from me today--and it is another Mother's Day card, as I am finding I am still a few cards short.   MFT Etched Flower, another recent purchase, was begging to be inked up, and so I did.

I covered an entire card front with this background stamp, inked in Raspberry Fizz, and then softened it with a piece of vellum, before attaching both a die cut and fussy cut sentiment.

I will enter this card at Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes.

Thanks for Visiting

  1. Two gorgeous cards. The vellum on the second card perfectly softens the stamping and creates such a pretty effect. Your LIM card is just so cute with the lovely elephant! Adorable :)

  12. Two beauties, Joyce. Love that background with the vellum overlay. And your baby card is just CAS at its best, lots of white space and precise detail in the corner, spot on.

  15. Two fab cards there Joyce. The baby card has the edge for me because of all the lovely white space, but adding the vellum to the second was a clever way to tone down the vibrant print.
Thank you so much for sharing this with.
