Hello and welcome to a new challenge at ColourQ. I absolutely love this week's colors, and took some inspiration from the pretty tote bag for my card. The colors I used are Wplus9 Nautical Navy, Last Leaf and Lake House, and I also used Sahara Sand. You can use whatever colors you have that match these colors the best.
I pulled out PTI Autumn Pattern Pieces, intending to use one of the chevron shapes, and instead my eye was caught by a tiny little stamp I never noticed before. I think that my Misti is making me look at my stamps in a whole different way, and I am encouraged to try things I would have never attempted before.
There is no way I would have attempted to line up a stamp that many times. This is how it came out my first time stamping--honestly...nothing in the bin from this card.
After stamping my border, I die cut the word wishing from Enchanted Evening card stock, and completed the sentiment with Last Leaf ink. I wanted a thin strip of green up the side of my card and did not have any paper the right color. I just took a strip of white and used my ink blender to color it with Last Leaf. I also added a bit of texture with the Mehndi Impression plate.
I am also linking up at Simon Says Monday: Love this Technique (adding texture).
Please head on over to the ColourQ challenge blog to see more inspiration from the design team. I hope you will join in the fun and play along this week.
Thanks for Visiting
Gorgeously graphic, Joyce ... so fabulous with the texture-y white! Think I might just need a Misti ... in the interests of extending your research, of course!! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteI think it is amazing what can be done with a Misti - but it still only does as good as its' operator does!! and you must be amazing at it!!! So wonderful and such a classy and cool card - you have done a beautiful job with this color scheme!! Have an awesome day!!!
