Sunday Wrap Up



I had some time to play in my craft room today and was able to play along with some challenges I haven't played with in quite a while as well as one that is new to me.

One Layer Simplicity #19 asks us to Strip Down this month, by masking a strip down the front of our card and doing something interesting with it.  I used the color scheme suggested by this week's Less is More #35:  Berry Shades.  I blended the following Distress inks on my strip:  worn lipstick, festive berries, milled lavender and seedless preserves.


I have finally managed to purchase a few Winnie & Walter stamp sets and was inspired by Vanessa's card to use an image from Addies Garden as well as a sentiment from The Big, the Bold and the Happy.  I hope it is not too much of a stretch to enter this card at Winnie & Walter Rerun #3.





Next up is a pair of cards I will be sending to one of my nieces at camp.  I pulled out some Paper Smooches stamps and EP Hello Summer paper and made two cards I will be submitting at Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes.

I used the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #134 for my first card.




There was some paper in that pad with little banners on it, so I used it on my next card.  I will be entering this card at Addicted to CAS #69: Banners.

    What fun cards. I always admire how much you can accomplish in your craft room. I love the ones especially with the paper smooches stamps. Super cute.

    A fantastic selection of beautiful cards Joyce. All are unique and perfect and I don't have a favourite. Love 'em all! Love your combination of berry shades on the first on alongside the gorgeous bloom and thanks for sharing that one at Less is More. Those cute paper-pieced critters with brightly coloured banners look awesome so thanks for joining us at ATCAS with that one too.

    Love the one layer card ,sure has a lot of depth for one layer! Great take on CasE sketch with the sweet dog and circles and your last card....perfect way to add banner . Beautiful cards,Joyce!

    Joyce - what a smart lady you are - you combined the perfect challenges for your first card that is so blooming lovely!! Your second card is an awesome take on that sketch - that sketch has me floundering a little so good on ya for that excellent card!!! And your side banner and the paper piecing make your last card a stellar one - what fun colors and patterns you have used!!! So much fun - all of these!!!     Three really fabulous cards, Joyce! I love how you blended your inks on the first one, and your choice of flower from this set is gorgeous! The cards you created for your nieces are so fun, too!
