Hi there. Instead of watching the Super Bowl commercials, I am going to quickly post 2 cards I made the other day but did not have time to post. My first card uses a repeated stamping technique that I learned about on this video by Jennifer McGuire.
I used a small stamp from Wet Paint and an assortment of WPlus9 ink colors. I originally stamped on a 4 1/4 by 4 1/4 square, but got a smudge, so I cut out my stamped circle. I am entering this card at Addicted to Stamps Clean and Simple challenge and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge Anything Goes.
My next card is a Valentine. I was inspired by the coloring Kara did on this card. I used copic markers in the colors matching this week's ColourQ to color in this stamp from Quilled Elegance.
I am also linking this card at Time Out where the challenge is Valentines Day with the optional twist of hearts, Inkspirational, where the challenge is rose colors, and Curtain Call Kissing Booth challenge.
Thanks for Visiting
Gorgeous cards, Joyce! Love your use of the colourQ colors - just beautiful!

ReplyDeleteWhat fun cards. Your first card is so fun with all those colors.
ReplyDeleteBoth so pretty Joyce! Love your CAS design on the second. Thanks so much for joining us at the ColourQ!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, colorful cards! Thanks for playing along with us at colourQ!
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are so pretty, Joyce! The repeat stamping looks like fun. I saw Jennifer's video and plan to try it sometime. The quilled design in the bright colors is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGreat dimension in the first card amd love rich colours and masking in the second. Thanks for joinimg Ink, ATSM and Time out
ReplyDeleteAll kinds of inky goodness Joyce...love stopping by and seeing your gorgeous cards!
ReplyDeleteLovely cards Joyce your congrats card is so fun and I love that PTI stamp set with the flowers and it is perfect for the Kissing Booth challenge. Thank you so much for sharing at the Curtain Call!
ReplyDeleteBoth are wonderful! Love that congrats card such a great idea and I love the sentiment over the stamped image. Your second card is beautiful and great coloring. You should have watched the end of the game, it was amazing!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards Joyce and love both equally. I'm impressed by the first one and how resourceful you are with changing a few colours to make the wreath usable all year round. Thanks for linking up at ATSM. Sarah x
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun star 'wreath', Joyce ... and a gorgeous valentine ... fabulous texture and wonderful vibrant colouring! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteNicely done Joyce! The angled banner in the middle of your wreath is very clever and so different. And nice Copic coloring - thought it was stamped ink. Looks fab!
ReplyDeleteLove them both Joyce! How did you manage to get the circle cut out matching up with that stamp? It must have been a bit of a chore! Hazel xx
ReplyDeletelove the colors on that valentines day card!
ReplyDeleteYou didn't miss anything by skipping the commercials. I didn't see them all but thought they were particularly bad this year--trying to be serious and morose and yeah, not even sure what the commercial had to do with the product in most of them. Love the two cards. That color combo in the VD one is striking. I can see why you had to give it a whirl.
ReplyDeleteImpressive and thank you for skipping the commercials in favor of posting these 2 awesomely cool cards!!! What fun and great color they both have!! Just in love with them both - have a marvelous day!!
ReplyDeleteCool cards - the wreath is awesome! Thanks for joining us at ATSM!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are absolutely fabulous. I do like the pretty wreath you've created on the first card. Thanks so much for playing along with ASM this week!
ReplyDeleteJoyce...you are a smart lady! I did the same thing, made cards, it was a lot more fun. Both of your cards are fantastic...I love your congrats, so perfect for a guy or girl. But your Valentine's Day card is stunning and your coloring perfection. So beautiful and sweet. Thank you so much for playing along with us at ColourQ, hope to see you again next week.
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards

Love your take on Jennifer's technique and your Copic coloring on the 2nd card is just beautiful, Joyce! Thank you so much for playing along with us this week at ATSM!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just hate smudges? Way to recover from yours, Joyce. The wreath looks good as a pop up. I love the hearts on the second card and you did a wonderful job coloring them.
ReplyDeleteLove both of these! Smudges suck but I like how you ended up with a dimensional element on the final card. That would be a cool technique to create a funky wreath. And the second card is gorgeous - love the colours and touch of embossing!
ReplyDeleteGreat save on your first card ... just cut that design right out of that card! And gorgeous colors on your second card. I love incorporating gray for Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous! So glad you found time to post them. I especially love the congrats card and I think that the smudge was fate prompting you to cut the stamped circle out because I think the dimension it added is awesome.
ReplyDeleteSo stylish!! I have this stamp too but haven't used it yet -great color choices, lovely work! Thanks for taking TIME OUT and joining our challenge. We already have a new challenge running, it's a fun CASE challenge -I hope to see you playing along!
