PTI January 2015 Blog Hop

I made a card for this month's PTI blog hop using the 3 Panel Card tutorial at this week's Make it Monday #198.  I used stamps from Simple Valentine, Heart Prints, Framed Out, Keep it Simple Valentines, and No Strings Attached.  I used a technique from a previous MIM about partial die cutting to partially cut that little heart out of the flap.  (After I made the card, I realized that it would look better if the heart were the other direction, but I didn't want to redo everything).

Here is what my card looks like all folded up:

This is the inside:

And, here is the back:

It was a fun project to make, and I am looking forward to seeing all the other projects on the hop.

I am also linking this card up at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Have a Heart, Time Out #23 Valentine with the optional twist of hearts and Addicted to Stamps: Holiday.

Thanks for Visiting

  1. I really enjoy when a crafter does something fun and different like this - what an awesome valentine, it is tremendously done with gorgeous colors and just a sweet "heart" iness to it!! Well done - I totally enjoyed seeing this great card and I think I might try something like it!! You have inspired me to "fold" in a different way!!! Have a lovely, happy day!!!

  3. What a pretty card...very clever of you to combine with 3 panel challenge. Liking the red and aqua combo..wouldn't have thought of that combo myself. Great idea to use the string & bow on the back too. Will have to look at that set again.

  21. Looks like I'm missing out on both the hop and MIM - no PTI hearts anywhere in my stash. The tri-fold card looks great, Joyce, and how clever to have the heart be the closure. I love the addition of the strings and bow on the back.
