Hi there and happy Thursday. I've got 4 one layer cards to share today.
First up is a card inspired by the pink flowers at The Card Concept's One Year Anniversary celebration and uses the technique at this week's Make it Monday #196: Colorful Card Corners. I am putting my card into the Clean and Simple category.
I am also linking this card up at Simon Says Wednesday Something New because my Garden Grace stamps are new to me, and at Simon Says Monday new and old--my old are the SU inks I used (Pretty in Pink and Strawberry Slush).
I started playing around yesterday with my very newest stamp set, Tumbleweed Houses by Unity, trying to create something for this month's One-Layer Simplicity Challenge of Attractive Opposites.
I think this one is my favorite--the opposite is colored and not colored.
This one features black and white as well as colored and not colored.
My last card is black and white as well as hearts and no hearts.
I'd like to come back to this challenge sometime before it ends with some better opposites. This session kind of morphed into an excuse to play around with my little houses. I really like these stamps, but getting them lined up was kind of a bear, as they are cling, not clear.
Well, that's it for me today. I am heading up to Orange County to meet Cathy Weber (Empty Nest Crafter) for coffee and a bit of stamping chat. I'll post a picture tomorrow.
Thanks for Visiting
I can understand why you want to play around with those little houses, Joyce, they are fun!

ReplyDeletePlaying around is fun, especially when the results are as great as your little collection of houses. Love your MIM card, too. That's the one I've been playing around with but only got one usable card.

ReplyDeleteJoyce...so many wonderful cards and it is hard to believe they are all just one layer! Your Mother's Day card is about as sweet as they come. I love all the pretty pink posies! But those houses...oh my, they are just too darn cute. And I am a major tea party girl, would take that over a cup of coffee any day. Need to find some new tea stamps....
ReplyDeleteWow, fabulous designs! I struggle with one layer cards (why I'm in the clean & layered group lol), and you've done an amazing job of packing a lot of punch in one layer! Thanks so much for joining us this week at The Card Concept :)
ReplyDeleteLove your Make It Monday card, it's bright and clean and happy!

We had a good time, didn't we? Once again...we forced some poor stranger to take a good picture of us too! Your floral card is really pretty...the colors are so bright. I can see why you love floral stamps so much, but those cute little houses are sweet too. Love that you did several versions with different colors.
ReplyDeleteLookie! More fun house stamps. They all make my heart happy. Great cards.
ReplyDeleteYou seriously inspire me to play with houses, stamps that is! Love the beautiful roses card, can't believe I missed it in the lineup!
