Happy Tuesday, friends. It's time for another cue word at CASology. This week, our cue word is UNDER. Lots of different ways to go with this word, and I cannot wait to see what you do. I decided to make a cute little scene with some of my Lawn Fawn critters--they are all under a tree.
I used some Bo Bunny papers to paper piece my little scene. Here is a hint that most of you probably already know--if you use papers from the same pack, everything will match. Here is another hint that I picked up in an on line class--after fussy cutting, go around the edge with a black marker (I usually use either a Copic or Distress, depending on which I can find). It will match the black of the stamping and give everything a more finished look.
Virginia has a Pattern Paper Challenge going on this week, so I am linking my card up there. She's got lots of Guest Designers and all sorts of tips for working with pattern paper, so I encourage you to also play along there.
Now, it is your turn. What do you think of when you see the word UNDER? Have some fun with the cue word UNDER, and then please link up your creation on the CASology blog by Monday at noon (CST).
Check out the beautiful designs from the CASology Design Team members and see how they were inspired by UNDER.
Don't forget to keep your card Clean and Simple.

ReplyDeleteAwww what an adorable scene :) love the paper peicing !
ReplyDeleteI love your little scene, Joyce! Those LF critters are some of my favourites and I really like the fun and funky colours you used. I always find myself trying to be too realistic with colours - brown dog, black cat, etc. A blue cat and a red dog are so much more awesome though! I am going to pin this on the bulletin board over my desk to help me remember to relax and have a little more fun with colour. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the excellent paper piecing you did here and thanks for that great tip about using a black marker to go around die cuts!! Excellent! This card has spunk and style!! Awesome!
