Hello and Sympathy

Hello there.  The weekend is winding down here, and I have two cards to share today.  I finally broke into the stamps from last month's Make it Market kit--they are so pretty, I think you'll be seeing a lot of them around here.  I am playing along with the top row of CAS-ual Fridays CFC134: Tic Tac Toe challenge--chevrons, black & sequins.  I am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Make it Sparkle.

I made another entry for this week's Make it Monday #175, and I used Meadow Greens for this card.  I always prefer to make sympathy cards before I need them, so this one is for my stash.

My daughter came home late last night, and it is good to have her back.  I never thought I would welcome the familiar sound of my girls bickering, but today it sounded pretty good.

Thanks for Visiting

  5. Absence definitely makes the heart grow fonder Joyce and it's always good to have kiddos back at home!

You came up with a lovely pair of cards again and the Make it Market kit looks yummy. I love the off card die cutting on the second card and having a sympathy card ready in your stash is such a good idea.

  6. I love the black highlights on the flower - I never would have thought of that but it goes beautifully with the paper. The ferns are pretty too - the wrap at the bottom and the different shades of green are yummy!

  9. Wow, great idea to use Meadow Greens for your non-border card! Perfectly sweet sympathy card. And I'm kicking myself for not getting Beautiful Brushstrokes. That flower is gorgeous and the black chevron is perfect with it.

  14. Love your cards and I have to agree with you, it is much easier to make your sympathy cards ahead of time and you were so sweet to share some of yours with me too. What a sweet and thoughtful friend you are. Your watercolor card is amazing and I am looking forward to playing with it very soon!
