I finally decided to break out the Valentines supplies--spread them all out and started to see what I could make for the various challenges this week.
First up is a card for this week's CAS-ual Fridays CFC126 Color Blocks Challenge. I was inspired by this card during the PTI release week. I cut strips of paper--Pure Poppy, Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise, Ripe Avocado and Ocean Tides and adhered them with foam tape underneath a panel cut with my new Cover Plate: Hearts Die. I love the fact that there is no pink on this card, meaning I could give it to either my husband or my daughter who is allergic to anything pink.
My next card is for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch CTS#60. I used one of my favorite images from WPlus9 Love You More. I stamped the speech bubble again on a piece of scrap, cut it out, adhered it with foam tape and then coated just the red part with Glossy Accents. The patterned paper is from an American Crafts Valentine pad I picked up at Target.
My next two cards are for this month's One Layer Simplicity Challenge #1. This is a revamp of the former One Layer Wednesday challenge. Such fun creating some super simple one layer cards that will be easy to mail. Those swirly hearts on the first card are from Verve, and the stamps on the second card are Happy Hearts from PTI.
I am also entering this card above at Addicted to CAS #30, where the code word is 'new', because I used my brand new Happy Hearts stamps.
Last up is a card for this week's Curtain Call Love Letter challenge. I am hoping to come back to this one again later in the week with some other images I have in mind, but for today's card, I used a big stack of Wonderful Words Love die cuts and papers from American Crafts Valentine. And, yes--I used those Tipped Tops dies again, but can you see I tilted one differently this time?
Simply Create Too has a Valentines challenge this week, so I will be entering all of these cards over there, too.
Thanks for Visiting

ReplyDeleteHi, Joyce! I just found your blog through Susan Raihala's blog, and I LOVE your style!!! Your creations are fantastic!!! Thanks for the creative inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI love the non traditional valentine's day card. Great for the men and pink allergic girls in you life!
ReplyDeleteThese are all fabulous, Joyce! I can't even pick a favourite!
ReplyDeleteJoyce, these are all amazing!!! I (of course) especially love the one-layer cards. What great layouts and it's so cool how you don't need to add a single thing to those completely flat cards. They are just perfect!!! Thanks for sharing these with the One-Layer Simplicity Challenge!
ReplyDeleteAre you sure we don't actually share a kid?
ReplyDeleteI have one who is allergic to pink as well...
and purple makes her slightly nauseous so we don't go there often either. :)
What a fabulous collection of cards...
can't pick a favorite though I lean towards that first one...
or maybe the simple black, red and white's.
See...
can't make up my mind! :)
Wow your colourful heart card is AMAZING!
