I am back with some more cards for Breast Cancer Awareness. After I made them, I realized that they all have the same sentiment--Think Pink from the Amuse Fight Like a Girl set.
My first card uses the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #107. I normally use a pretty literal interpretation of the sketch, but this time I played around a bit.
I used the sketch at this week's Fusion #19 for my next card. I am also entering it into the Metal, Wood and Cork challenge in the Moxie Fab World. I finally cut into a piece of super thin cork I had purchased ages ago from my local stamping store. Wow--that was scary, but I'm glad I did it.
My next card is just for fun. I had an idea for a pink argyle sweater. The base of the sweater is Sweet Blush, although it looks peach in this photo.
My last card is an idea I know I saw somewhere, but can't remember where. I stacked 4 of the little animal dies from On the Farm, and made them pink.
All of these cards will be posted over at Split Coast Stampers, as part of their Hope You Can Cling To challenge, at Link Up For Pink, and at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge to Use a Rubber or a Clear Stamp.

Terrific cards Joyce - LOVE the first one, especially the angled panels and the stitched IP. I completely get how hard it is to cut into something like the cork paper, but the bulletin board look on that card is great.
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards, Joyce! I especially love your first card with the ice cream cone. Great layout!
ReplyDeleteSuch fun cards! I love the variety and am doubly impressed as I'm not a "pink" kind of girl and creating one card is overwhelming enough that I haven't successfully done it yet. I adore your first card and am so glad you played around a bit with the sketch.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Joyce, wonderful fun designs and I love the 'pink' theme!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining us at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

These are amazing, Joyce, there's always so much texture on your cards ... I love it! You had me chuckling at the scarey-cutting-into-the cork ... I so empathise with that! Anita :)

And yeah...have some of that cork...and use it sparingly too! :)
Awesome set of pink cards, Joyce! Way to support the cause : )
ReplyDeleteLOVE how you have a tack for your card with the cork on it. Super cute! I got lucky finding a roll of cork at a local garage sale for 25 cents, but you can get a lifetime supply of cork (2' x 4') from Walmart or Amazon for $8 in case you're worried about running out http://www.walmart.com/ip/The-Board-Dudes-Cork-Roll-48-x-24/20753740
So glad to see you in the Fusion Challenge!
