It feels like forever since we had a Four of a Kind posting, but really it has only been since April. We moved to a quarterly schedule a few posts ago, as the pace of monthly kits was a bit much. I am very sad to report that Marybeth has left our group, due to other personal commitments. But, the good news is that Renee is back. So, we are back to the original gang of four--me, Cathy from Empty Nest Crafter, Kim from Cupcakes, Cards and Kim, and Renee from It's a Patchwork Life.
Our hostess this month is Cathy from Empty Nest Crafter and she sent us this enormous and beautiful kit focusing on the theme of travel and missing you. The colors were primarily Scarlet Jewel, Black, and Rustic Cream--so yummy and perfect for masculine or feminine cards.
There is a lot to look at, so I will get right to it. I made 6 cards (or I should say that 6 cards made themselves), and have oodles and oodles left for a rainy day.
Well, that's it for me. Thank you so much, Cathy, for sending such a wonderful kit. And, my cards were almost all pretty much self-assembling, as they often are, so thanks for sending me the magical kit. I still have leftovers from my kit, so I am excited to see what everyone else did, so I can CASE them.
Here is a link to my pinterest board where I pin everyone's Four-of-a-Kind creations. And, please head over to Cathy's blog if you want to see a full supply list.
The other three members of Four-of-a-Kind are:
Cathy Weber: Empty Nest Crafter
Kim Heggins: Cupcakes, Cards and Kim
Renee Lynch: It's A Patchwork Life
Please
stop by their blogs, if you haven't been there already, and see what
they have created for their July Four-of-a-Kind projects.
Thanks for Visiting

ReplyDeleteI am so glad it all worked out and your original group is back together! What a wonderful kit Cathy sent out. I love every single card! Your second to the last is my favorite ,with the banners and hot air balloon! Great colors too!
ReplyDeleteWhat great cards. I love all the travel elements.
ReplyDeleteI have to comment out of order today Joyce...that Speech Bubble card is FABULOUS! My very favorite of the bunch...and that is not easy to say because there were so many and I loved them all. I also really loved the way you made the Miss you card with the two luggage carts and the postage stamp paper. That is adorable, and the way you did the world map card with the balloon and the framing behind the polaroid frame. Genius! You went all out this month and I loved seeing what you made!
ReplyDeleteIt's always fantastic to see what you do with your Four of a Kind kit, Joyce ... and always inspiring! These are all amazing ... and to think they made themselves!! My favorite is the World Traveller ... splendid background and wonderful balloon over the banners! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful collection of cards Joyce...I love the all but have to agree with Cathy, your speech bubble card is my favorite, so simple but really packs a punch. I was really stumped on what to do with that patterned piece of paper that you used on your 5th card, just amazing and so happy that I have it in my bag of leftovers. I love your card with the 2 suitcases, so sweet! All of your cards are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Joyce your cards are all so gorgeous! The paper and embellishments are just fabulous. Love the luggage and that stamps patterned paper!
ReplyDeleteThese are all gorgeous but I'm especially loving the third one with those fun speech bubbles!
ReplyDeleteThey're fabulous...
ReplyDeletelove the way you cut the tickets with that sentiment!
I never thought of pulling that die out...
and it would have fit the theme! :)

I loved the colors! :)
Lots to love--you did an amazing job with Cathy's kit! Travel was such a fun theme. The speech bubbles were especially stunning and I adore the postage stamp paper. Using the carts in the corner makes such a cool accent!
