Sitting with my daughter some more today while she was studying for finals--I made lots more cards for some of my favorite challenges. Lest you think I am a monster, I should explain that she has ADD, and needs me to help her stay on task. She is shooting for straight A's, and when you see how much I made today, you will agree that it is very possible.
First up is a card for this week's Simon Says Stamp and Show where the challenge is Into the Woods. I used the sketch from this week's CAS(E) this Sketch CTS#30 and am also entering this card at A Blog Named Hero #25: It's a Man's Man's Man's World. Can you see the woodgrain Impression plate on my card base?
Next up is a card for this week's CAS-ual Fridays CFC103: Congratulations, using the colors from this week's Color Throwdown CTD244. I used Ranger White Enamel Accents on the fillings, like I saw Donna do here.
I used the sketch at this week's Retro Sketches rs#66 to make a card for Maddy, a courageous young girl battling cancer. Please click here to learn more about how you can participate in this card drive, too. This will be the third card I have sent to this young woman--she has endured more than anyone should. I used my brand new Garden of Life stamps for this card. There are so many pretty flowers in this set.
I made another card using Garden of Life, this time following the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches FMS88.
Last up for me today is a card for this week's Monday Mood Board #13 at WPlus9 and also for CAS-ual Fridays CFC103: Congratulations. I used Quilt Prints--I think that is my favorite WPlus9 set so far. I messed up my pattern a little somewhere (I won't say where), so I stamped a few extra red and blue pieces to randomly glue down with dimensionals and then coat with glossy accents.
That about wraps up my weekend.

But your card for Maddy is my favorite, so sweet and so beautiful, just like Maddy. I am sure your card will bring a very big smile to her sweet face. You are the Best!
ReplyDeleteWOW, Joyce, you knocked it out of the park again. How do you keep track of all those challenges? I'd like to know your system if you're willing to share. Your cards are all fabulous and how sweet of you to send Maddy another card ~ such a sad story. I think your so-called mistake on your last card was a bonus as the results are wonderful. WTG!
