The Twelve Kits of Holidays: April 2013

Hard to believe, but April has come and gone.  I am ready for May, though--one month closer to summer vacation.  This month our focus is back to Christmas, and our host is Sharron from On Papillon Wings.  Here is a picture of the gorgeous kit she sent us.  The colors were so festive and pretty, and the images and sentiments were all new to me.  I only made 4 cards this time--so I have lots of supplies left over to case some of the wonderful designs I'm sure I'll see as I hop around our group.

That's it for me today.  If you want a complete supply list, head on over to Sharron's blog.  I am eager to see what the other members of our group did, and I'll bet that you are too.  Thank you so much, Sharron, for sending such an incredible kit.
Here is the list of participants:

Joyce (that's me)

Thanks for Visiting

  1. Joyce your cards are all gorgeous as usual. I am loving that green tag! The glitter accent on the star is so festive and the snowflake embossing is just right for the snowflake paper.

  2. Ooooh, Joyce, the snowflake card is so pretty! Love the paper paired with the embossing. I saved my "joy" die cut and that sheet, so glad now :) The sentiment you added with the little snowflake card is fabulous...that would be a great homemade card to mass produce at the holidays. The homespun tag with the little neighborhood is adorable TOO!

  5. Beautiful job this month as always - you always think of clever things to do that I absolutely missed out on! I like the collage one with the little tags and the clean look of the "joy" card - that embossing looks so crisp and clean that the color just pops!

  6. Such fun and fabulous cards...
you used all the little elements in such a creative way...
but I have to say I love the last one best...
the way you stamped the sentiment on the side and used the patterned paper for the focal image...
I never thought of that and it's simply perfect! :)

  7. Love them all! The tag card is adorable with the village below and the sentiment on the tag. Great idea with that! I did not use my joy yet but love the way you did with the button in the middle. Your last one is very cozy! I also like the way you grouped a bunch of the sentiments block on one card! Great job as always!

  8. Oh I love how you used the button die for the JOY center! I really like the last card where all it took was one sentiment to make it unique and real. So many fun little tidbits of things I can take away to use later!!!

  10. Joyce, they are all fabulous--love them all! Your tag on the first card with that sentiment works so perfectly with the row of houses. Makes me think of sharing love with all our friends & neighbors. And your collage is wonderful too. The 'Joy' card is just perfection! The matching embossing and CAS design are gorgeous. And I love how you did the sentiment with the little house scene. Such an awesome way to use that printed paper!

  11. I always feel like I need to say which is my favorite card...although I usually love more than one, yours today is that chevron embossed card. Love that one with all those little cut out pieces, star and tree.

  12. Your cards are fantastic again this month, Joyce! I especially love the simplicity of the last one, with the pretty scene on the paper paired with a vertical sentiment and the red borders. Great use of the bits and pieces of paper on the second card with the chevron embossing, too.

  13. Great job making all these elements YOURS, Joyce! Superb cards!! I especially love the little twine boy in the word "joy!" Hmmm, I'm not so sure a little twine boy would show up in such a little circle, so perhaps we'd better stick with a little twine BOW!

  14. Joyce, the last card is def. my favorite this month :) That paper is just so sweet it makes me smile! I love that strip of little houses on the first one, the cool collage on the second one and the snowflake impression on the 3rd. These are some great cards to add to your stash!
