The 12 Kits of Holidays: March 2013

Are you ready for spring?  I hope so--this month our card kit was focused on spring and Easter, so, I hope you are ready for some bright and happy spring cards.  Our hostess this month is Tracey from In My Creative Opinion. This is Tracey's first month hosting a kit, but you would think she was an old pro if you saw her kit.  Here is a picture of what Tracey sent:

The paper and colors were to die for this month--just so pretty, bright and fun.  I heard lots of chatter about the paper being too pretty to cut, but not for me!  I was just wrapping up my Pattern Play on-line class when I took out my kit and started making my cards.  So, that pattern paper went under the knife right away--you may see some designs that look a little familiar.

I made 6 cards, and have lots and lots of leftovers .  Pretty happy about that.

I am entering this card into the Speech Bubble Challenge in the Moxie Fab world, and I should also note that this card was inspired by one of the instructional videos in the Pattern Play class last week.

That's it for me today.  If you want a complete supply list, head on over to Tracey's blog.  I am eager to see what the other members of our group did, and I'll bet that you are too.  Thank you so much, Tracey, for sending such an incredible kit.  My cards just flew together all on their own.

Here is the list of participants:

Thanks for Visiting

  4. Look at you Joyce - I think you are evolving! Immediately I am struck with all the clever ways you used the Pattern Paper - It's almost like - did we get the same kit here? I love the one with the butterfly and the quilted look of the papers - you really thought "outside the box" and repackaged everything to make an entirely unique look of your own. I mean all the banners, the butterfly, and the quote bubbles - simply amazing!!

  10. JOYCE!! LOVE these! That first one totally steals my heart! Love, love your three speech bubbles, and that one of them is negative with flowers instead of words inside!!! Such a great design. The second one has a fun touch with the recessed sentiment. And the banners/sequins on your Splash of Color card are just perfect. Fantastic job on these!!!

  11. A+ for all of your stunning cards! You really learned so much from our class, you must have been teacher's pet because each one of your cards is perfect, A+ on each one. I loved your use of impression plates, your word bubble card is just too darn cute! Those little birds sitting on the banners is adorable too but my favorite card is card 5, with those colorful banners and the sweet flower, too cute!
