Play Date Cafe #164: Foodie Fun

When I saw this beautiful card on Kim's blog, it reminded me that I bought Foodie Fun, and had yet to use it.  The colors of this week's Play Date Cafe #164 seemed perfect for this set--I just love that pot--it reminds me of those big Le Creuset dutch ovens.

I made three cards in this same color scheme, just playing around a little bit with the layout, the sentiment, scoring, etc.  The inspiration for these cards comes from Kim's card here and this card by Jess Witty during the Foodie Fun release.  These cards will be handy to have in my stash.  Now that they are done, I am thinking that they would look even better embossed with clear embossing powder, to get that shine like a real dutch oven.  Maybe I'll try some Glossy Accents later.

Supplies Used (PTI):
Stamps:  Foodie Fun, Script Sentiments
Paper:  White, Kraft, Dark Chocolate
Ink:  Simply Chartreuse, Blueberry Sky, Kraft, Memento Rich Cocoa
Other:  Twine, Picnic Plaid Impression Plate

Thanks for Visiting

  1. Joyce all these cards are fantastic, look at you using that set and so perfectly. I love how you clipped the pots upside down and on top of each other. The Picnic Plaid background goes so well with this set.

  2. Joyce...these are just so fabulous. I completely forgot about Jess's card, this is just too much fun. I will be CAS'ing these for sure. I love that you used the little bit of steam above the one pot, so clever and wonderful colors. The blue matches my Le Creuset dutch oven too. How fun!

  11. Joyce, I would love one of those Le Creuset pots for my very own, but I'd settle for one of these fabulous cards! They are all so pretty, but I especially love the ones with the twine. Great job with these colors!
