PTI October, 2012 Blog Hop

This month, we were given several beautiful color schemes to choose from to inspire our PTI October blog project.  I had big plans to use them all, but ended up making just one very simple card.

I started with these colors, and used Holiday Lights and Think Big Favorites from last year.  Some simple stamping, and glossy accents on the lights, and my card is done.

I ended up getting bitten by the cleaning/organizing bug.  I decided to go with it, since you never know when it will come back again.  The color schemes will always be there, and I do intend to use them in the future.

I wish I had taken a 'before' picture of this little corner of my desk, but didn't think of it.  Here is what it looks like now.  I have all my newer PTI sets, plus clear sets from other companies (horror) in Tim Holtz folders, stacked in these baskets I got from Target.  The dividers are PTI cardstock, cut with the Edgers die, attached to Kraft card stock, to make them taller than the folders.  They separate the stamp sets by company.  My index binder has all of my sentiments from every set stamped out, sample stampings of all my non-PTI inks, and  pictures from the web site of most of my PTI sets.  I'm still working on that part.  Next to that, is my PTI Color Swatch Book.

I love that these are all in reach now.  I still have all my CD cases with PTI sets across the room, so I do still get a bit of exercise when I am stamping.

Here is what the folders look like with stamps in them.  I find that I am able to put 2 $15 sets in one folder, and I just attach the index label right to the back of the acetate the stamps come on.  The white paper is cheap white card stock from Michaels.

I slip the tip sheet in the back of the folder.

I store my dies in hanging CD folders, in a couple of CD storage boxes.  My longer dies are in this mug, and this makes me happy:

Thanks for Visiting

I love the peak into your space! I am really considering switching to storing my stamps like that! I have way too much junk collected from over the years that I don't use, and the clutter, clutters my creativity! Thanks, I think this was the push I needed! :)
