It's the end of September, and time for my monthly 12 Kits of Christmas post. If you are wondering what you have stumbled into, please click here for more information. This month's kit was generously provided by Kara of KandRdesigns. Just take a look at all the goodies she sent. One of the most fun parts about this group is getting to play with stamp sets and dies I don't have, and this month was no exception. Kara provided us with so many fun elements--die cuts, stamped images, and papers to play with. Kraft and Aqua Mist featured prominently this month, which were just so much to work with.
Time was a bit short for me this month, with Sarah's Bat Mitzvah a mere week away. We are expecting a lot of family and friends to fly in from out of town. Our first guests arrive in 4 days. I was only able to complete 3 cards, which is kind of low for me, but I have so many wonderful leftovers that I will be able to use as soon as life slows down a bit here.
I had such fun playing with all the goodies in Kara's kit, and now I
am
eager to see what everyone else has created. I know I will be glad to have saved so much, as I'm sure I'll see so many creations I will want to CASE. Thank you so much, Kara,
for sending such a wonderful kit. If you are
curious about anything
used to make these cards, head over to Kara's blog, where she
will have information on the supplies she sent.

Joyce, all 3 of your cards are just so nice. I love that we have one card using the same idea too, once I saw those banners I knew just what I wanted to do. I love your first card, that bird is just so fun and festive. Great job with a limited schedule.
ReplyDeleteLove your first card Joyce! Seems fitting to use the word Joy… you bring so much joy to many bloggers. Great job with the banner card, I just couldn't come up with anything.Love the bold red in the second one. Oh my. a houseful ! Enjoy !
ReplyDeleteJoyce you made three fabulous cards. I love the first card it is so festive and the white faux stitching is perfect. That bird is so cute. Your last card is great with the felt banner pieces, they add so much interest to the card--love that sentiment too.
ReplyDeleteLove all of yur cards! You did so great with Kara's kit! Enjoy the days leading up to the Bat Mitzvah - happy celebrations!
ReplyDeleteThey're fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLove that chevron birdie...
and I say again that I'm jealous I didn't get a birdie! :(
But the colors are fabulous...
they are all wonderful...
and now you can sit back and relax!*giggle*
I know you will be uber busy...
but enjoy being with family and friends and this special day in Sarah's life! :)
You certainly got a lot done being so busy!! I love your projects. The way you cut out the JOY looks awesome! Love the white edges on your second card and of course that sweet banner:)
ReplyDeleteI love that we were both skeptical about the bird, but we used all options with him! I love how you let the paper shine in your first, it really is great with those bright pops of blue. And your stitches are the perfect tie in! Love the twine and bold red chevrons to showcase the bird on the second, and I just love the banner on your last, and how the sentiment flows along with it!
ReplyDeleteLove the cards - the card kit looks a fun idea. Have a wonderful time celebrating with family and friends.
ReplyDeleteI was hesitant to use the bird from the kit but after seeing your cards I know what to do now!!! The chevron paper is just so mod and goes perfectly into this layout!!! You sound so busy but I'm so glad you stole a few moments to craft as these are beauties and we would have missed out!
ReplyDeleteSuch great cards, Joyce!! I love the addition of aqua to the kit, such pretty colors. I love the chevrons and that bird with the party hat is so fun!
ReplyDeleteSo cute Joyce! I really love your chevron cards I like how you cut out the Joy sentiment and inked the edges in white and added the twine on the second. The little banner card is my favorite though. I love it with that sentiment in red. How funny that we both put little gems on the cute birds hat!
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous, Joyce! The first card with the bird is so sweet. Love how you added the stitching and goodness, you even cut out the 'Joy'. The red chevron paper is wonderful on card two. Isn't it funny how so many of us added a gem on the hat! Love how you used the banners too--very striking design on that one!
ReplyDeleteHi Joyce! Love your beautiful Christmas cards! I like how you let the fancy pp really shine on the first. You dressed it up instead of cutting it up. I love your stitching on the first, how you let the bird capture me on the second (perfect accent the twine), and wow the last... with those pennants and the swirly red stamped script - gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI always love to see your kit cards - what a fun thing to put all those goodies together - endless possibilities! I really love the mix of bold and Victorian on your first card. Love birdy's blue hat! Love that red chevron with the kraft and white on the second, and the banner card is fab. Hope you have a wonderful celebration. Thanks always for your visits and your kind words. xo
ReplyDeleteThat wide chevron paper is fantastic! Love how you used it prominently on your first two cards. That birdie is the cutest, too. And I can't wait to finally use the felt banner that had me stumped, now that I've seen so many great ideas from the rest of the group!
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous, a great mix of styles and elements!
ReplyDeleteJoyce! Love them all!!! I am amazed by all of the fantastic creations I've seen with the bird - you mastered him!
ReplyDeleteLove all of your cards! What a fun kit and it is a joy to hop around and see how you each use it! So much fun inspiration and you have Christmas cards all ready!!! I haven't made a single one yet!!!
