I am pretty sure that the Washi Tape trend must be coming to an end. How do I know that? Well, because I finally caved and got some. I used this Washi Tape from My Minds Eye called Indie Chic Pictures Tape, and combined it with my latest stamp purchase from Avery Elle, Framed Fonts. I created this card below, which was inspired by a card from one of the Hero Arts blogs that popped up in my reader yesterday, but I can't seem to find today. Oh, well, sorry. The borders are from Lawn Fawn's Belinda's Borders set.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Avery Elle Framed Fonts, Lawn Fawn Belinda's Borders
Paper: PTI Kraft
Ink: Versamark, Memento Rich Cocoa, PTI Pure Poppy
Other: PTI Happy Day Die, MME Indie Chic Pictures Tape, White Embossing Powder
Thanks for Visiting
Very pretty. Great color. I still have not jumped on the washi tape bandwagon.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Joyce, I really like that Avery Elle sentiment and Belinda's Border, I haven't even inked them up yet. That washi tape is gorgeous and once again I totally love your philosphy on it. ;)
ReplyDeleteHA! I think we're on the same page - I just ordered a few rolls of washi tape - hopefully we're not catching the trend on its way out :)
ReplyDeletegreat mix of patterns!
ReplyDeleteThat was funny. You do NOT come in late onto the latest trends! I haven't bought any washi tape either, but your card is so cute and I absolutely love that frame set. Love the great combination of patterns and colors.
ReplyDeleteWhat??? I don't get it! I think that because you bought it, it is TOTALLY coming back IN again! I love what you did with it, Joyce, these are such funky combos, too :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute!! I love how you used the Framed Fonts set (I just got this one too! Too cute to pass up!). I also love the patterns you used as well!
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny...I still have not caved and purchased any of the Washi Tape. Have been tempted a few times. Your card is just too cute and I love that sentiment, just so sweet. I love the bright colors and that you put them on a kraft background. Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteNo...
ReplyDeleteit'll end when I buy some!!
That's why I've put it off for so long...
even though I gaze at it and think I should indulge just a bit! :)

Love your card, Joyce! Washi tape better not be on the way out. I only have 1 roll and would like more.

ReplyDeleteLol...I just bought some too,but I was going to use it to hold the frames together . I love the pretty print on yours, and bright colors. I'm still laughing about that. Well I think your card is very trendy and pretty.
ReplyDeleteGreat card Joyce. I haven't tried the Washi Tape yet. I'm afraid that if I do I won't be able to stop..haha.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, that's how I usually determine that fads are coming to an end too : ) I had JUST bought an entire houseful of chocolate/espresso furniture with Shaker Beige walls, and then the whole gray trend starts with painted furniture. What can you do.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card!! I haven't bought any washi tape yet, either. Yours is so pretty, though. I might have to get some!
ReplyDeletewow that's some awesome washi tape!!..love the pretty patterns :0) Super card and sentiment.
