Change of plans for end of school year--instead of thank you notes, I decided to make English Toffee and Happy Summer Tags. The English Toffee was the best gift I could think of, especially for the girls' bus driver, who is basically my hero. He is the nicest guy, and is the reason that I am able to play tennis, spin, and make cards all day, since he saves me over an hour and a half in rush hour traffic every morning.
My first tag uses the color scheme for this week's Dynamic Duos challenge DD#5. I interpreted these colors as Pure Poppy and Hawaiian Shores.
Here is a peek at what is behind the tag:
Here is the collection of tags. They are all variations on the same theme, using different PTI Tag Sale dies and the Flipping Out stamp set. Colors are Pure Poppy, Hawaiian Shores, and Summer Sunrise.
Here is a peek at the back of the tags:
I basically use this recipe by David Lebovitz for my English Toffee. It's surprisingly easy to make.
Here is a very happy sight:
Thanks for Visiting

ReplyDeleteOh my, YUM! Way better than a thank you card, I'd say, and I'm sure they will agree! Those tags are too cute and I love how you were able to make them for a man and women! You are making me kick myself for not at least getting the die! Great colors, too!

ReplyDeleteSorry I am late to your post. Love the thoughtful gifts you have made. The tags are just adorable and now I wish I had the stamp as well, only bought the die. The bus driver is going to love the candy I use my grandmas recipe. I will check this one out though and see how much alike they are.
