The theme this month for the Waltzingmouse Blog Party is felt and cozy fabrics. I made a felt flower and tried to create a background paper that looked like a cozy blanket, right down to the crazy stitching around the edges. I used Off Beat Backgrounds and Pic-Nic Patterns to create my plaid, and the stitching stamp in Off Beat Backgrounds to create the faux stitched edge. If I had a sewing machine, this is probably what my stitches would look like.
Enjoy the rest of the party. I'm looking forward to seeing what every one else has created.

ReplyDeleteThis really does look like a nice cozy quilt, love that faux stitching...my stitching looks very much like that in real life too. You really have the hang of the woven stripes, they are lined up perfectly and stamped really well. Love that you used the notched flower on this too, didn't know you had that die but it was perfect for this blog party theme.

ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone and your cozy blanket look is just fabulous! The colors are soft and reminds me of a quilt Ashleigh got when she was a baby. I think you should should be making blankets while I make flip flops, ok? I am really falling in love with that notched flower too..just too cute!
