I have a quick post this morning with a card for Make it Monday #68: Pocket Cards. I made a birthday card for my father-in-law, and this card will be dropped in the mail immediately.
I've been mulling over buying Guidelines and/or Guidelines Two, but realized that there were some images in Iconic Images that I had never played with, that could tide me over until I made my decision. This is what the card looks like all assembled.
Here is the pull out card. I recently bought Birthday Bash Sentiments from someone on the PTI forum, and I just had to add that little 'to YOU' that he will see when he pulls the card out of the pocket.
I hope I have some free time later this week. I've got lots of ideas for more pocket cards using some of my new goodies I bought from the May release.
If you have an opinion on Guidelines or Guidelines Two, I'd love to hear it. Also, links to sample creations would be great.
Don't forget, to come back later to see the surprise for our May "The Twelve Kits of Christmas" post.
Supplies Used (PTI):
Stamps: Iconic Images, Think Big, Framed Out, Birthday Bash Sentiments
Paper: Kraft, Ripe Avocado
Other: Framed Out Die, Rustic Jute twine
Thanks for Visiting

Love that surprise inside of your pull out. I have my original guidelines II card on display in my craftroom. I made it over 2 1/2 years ago. If you check out my PTI gallery, there are 4 cards using it. A lot of my gallery stuff is very old, so don't browse too much ;)
ReplyDeleteLove it!!
ReplyDeleteNow that Summer break is here...
I'm getting all kinds of itchy to pull out some "in need of love sets" and make some goodies...
I think this is one of those sets!
Maybe I can find the time to watch this video this weekend...

and good for mailing too! :)
The stamp from Iconic Images makes a perfect background paper. Your stamping is lined up so nicely, too!. Great job on the challenge!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful card made with the Ripe Avocado ink and your background stamping is perfect, it is so straight. Well done.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Joyce...I love the way you took just one stamp and used it to make an incredible background, it really looks like patterned paper that you would have purchased. My Birthday Bash set arrived yesterday but no time to play with it yet, so happy to have that set. I am sure your FIL will love your card, it is perfect.
ReplyDeleteGreat guy card! I cant wait to make one. Beautiful stamping and love the green.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great pocket card! I had that stamp set in my hands and put it away and I am glad because I wouldn't have done it as beautifully. Great idea to combine the large and small sentiment.
