I've got two cards for this month's Paper Dolls Challenge #46: Spring Bling. I used this week's CR84FN50 challenge colors of Pink, Orange and Yellow. I finally broke into my Raspberry Fizz patterned paper pack, and boy is that paper gorgeous. I think I'm going to be using this paper a lot, and I can't wait to collect all the colors. I used Gina K white for both of these cards, as I colored the flowers with Copic, and didn't want the bleed to show through the card.
I wasn't sure which layout to go with, so I made one of each. I think I prefer the top one. Which do you prefer?
Please stop by our Paper Dolls blog and add your "Spring Bling" card. There is some fabulous blog candy to be won, provided by the ever-generous Renee.
Supplies Used (PTI):
Stamps: Sweet Spring
Paper: Gina K White, Raspberry Fizz Patterns
Other: Nestie Circle, Memory Box Window Box, Twine, Button
Thanks for Visiting
they're both fabulous, but if I had to pick, I'd go with the top one too! The card design is so great!
ReplyDeleteThese are both gorgeous - awesome colours and layouts! I love those sweet little flowers and that gingham paper just screams spring. :) That window box die is fabulous too. Perhaps a strip of colour on the "moulding" part of the window box would help it to pop a bit more? Not sure... just a thought.
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards Joyce. You did a grat job with the colors. Each card has a unique element to it. Love how the flowers peek out from the first card, but I also love that window box.
ReplyDeleteBoth beautiful cards Joyce and I just love how you used the window box from the window die. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful! I do love the circle a tiny bit more maybe... The paper is gorgeous. I think the Sweet Spring flowers will end up being very versatile.
ReplyDeleteJoyce...both of these cards are just so sweet! Don't you just love the new printed paper and that window box die is so perfect for your card.
ReplyDeleteOh, how sweet! Seeing these cards makes me wish I'd gotten that Spring set! I think the 1st is my favorite! Funny, how different they look with the only difference is one is in a circle, the other has the flower bed! I think you designed the perfect card for those colors!
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are fantastic but I think I like the first one best too! Love the flowers peaking out of the circle but, of course, I love the window box too! Great job on both--the patterned paper is so pretty and you have the perfect mixture of pink & orange!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. Love them both. Feels like spring here today. I love it!!
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty!! You are making me regret not ordering the flower box die. ;)
ReplyDeleteTwo very pretty cards Joyce, I love the aperture card, and the second card is just as effective. Gorgeous spring cards!
ReplyDeleteBoth are darling! Is that flower box a Memory Box die? I so need it! I agree that the RF DP is pretty special. I love the circlular aperture too. So clever. Both cards are very sweet!
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet cards Joyce! Love the little Spring blossoms! Thanks for joining along with CR84FN :)
ReplyDeleteThese are both so cute. I think I like the first card best too. Really like the way the flowers are framed within the circle! It makes the card pop. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteBOTH are really CUTE Joyce! Your coloring and those FAB flowers really do make you feel like Spring! THX for playing with us at CR84FN!
ReplyDeleteThese are both wonderful Joyce! I'm so thrilled that you are a Paper Doll!
ReplyDeleteAdorable Joyce! Seeing your cards makes me totally regret not getting any of that gingham paper:) Those flowers are perfect for that zingy color combo!
ReplyDeleteThese are both gorgeous! Love that pp. I think I like the aperture of the first one. Really pretty, Joyce!
ReplyDeleteThey're both a breath of spring air Joyce, so pretty :0)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you as my fave is the sweet little circle aperture.

ReplyDeleteI love both of them - the circle one is very clean and frames the flowers but I do love the little window box effect in the second one too.
