My, my how time flies. I can hardly believe that it is the end of February already. That means that it is time for another 12 Kits of Christmas post. This month, Cathy Weber of Empty Nest Crafter is our hostess, and she sent us some really fun stuff. Polar Bears!! What is cuter than Polar Bears? (except owls....). And Snow Globes! I was beside myself with glee.

I just love this polar bear in his snowy globe.
On this next card, I used one of the extra Window die cuts that Renee sent last month. Fortunately, Renee sent quite a few extras.
I used one of the recent Make it Monday techniques to make a snow globe shaker card with the fake snow Cathy sent.
For this last card, I admit that I did get a bit nutty. I wanted to use that adorable felt polar bear, and also had quite a bit of paper left over. I used this week's Card Positioning Systems Sketch CPS-254 to guide my card design, and some googlie eyes and an eyeglass brad to give my bear some style. I think this gal is my favorite. She is totally cool, don't you think?

I just laughed out loud. Really loud! That polar bear with the sunglasses is the cutest thing I have ever seen, and the sentiment is unbelievable with it. You made such great cards with the kit, the window die with the shade was so smart. I love your shaker card with that awful snow I sent! What a great set of cards. You outdid yourself!
ReplyDeleteWow Joyce.....4 cards! You did good! You were so creative with each of your cards but the 3rd card with the shaker of snow fluff is my favorite! Lyered over the text paper and using that great sentiment banner was perfect!

HAHA!!! I love that you went a little "nutty" because this card is so darn cute :) Love those sunglasses and the rhinestone necklace! I think I would have to say that one is my favorite although the snowglobe one takes a close second, I love that you actually made a snowglobe! And the colors look really great together. I also love that you used the window from last month's kit...how creative :)

ReplyDeleteOK Joyce - you totally made this one your own. First you cracked me up with "what's cuter than polar bears? - Owls" and then I see your cards - talk about original! A window with a polar bear!!!!! YEAHHHHHHHHHH!!! Very cool, and then you take it to the next level with the sunglasses - perfect for Card by the Sea and Palm Trees! I love it!!!!

Your snow globes are so cute, and I'm going to have to try this shaker technique after seeing everyone's fabulous cards using it. Thanks for the inspiration!
