I am cutting it pretty close, but I am making my second post of the day today in order to sneak in a couple of cards for this week's Play Date Cafe PDCC108 challenge. You can see my first post today here.
The colors we were given to work with were maroon, copper and tumeric. I used Scarlet Jewel and Terra Cotta Tile papers and Amuse Currant ink and Colorbox Roussilon and Amber inks.
I wanted to use PTI's Simple Sunflower stamps and dies, since I hadn't really used them much. I couldn't decide if the sunflowers should be Currant or Roussilon, so I ended up making two cards. The first card was inspired by this card by Amy at Stamp-n-Paradise.
Which card do you like better?

Wow, they are both stunning! My favourite, however, if pressed to choose one, would be the top one-- I love how you layered the Quatrefoil cover plate over the text background!
ReplyDeleteI am not much help at all since I really do like both. They are great cards, Joyce!
ReplyDeleteJoyce, I like the first one better than the second. Not that I don't like the second one but the quatrefoil dies takes the cake for me :) Great take on the colors :)
ReplyDeleteThey're both fabulously beautiful...
ReplyDeletebut I like the first one better! :)
Love that quatrefoil over the text background...
and the flower in purple...
LOVE!!
Both are gorgeous!! I love these colors so much and the quatrefoil looks so nice over the stamped text!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! I especially love the quatrefoil over the stamped text background...looks "natural". Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. My favorite is the first one with the quatrefoil & text. They really complement each other. Great sunflowers. Both colors are awesome.
ReplyDeleteI dont know which I like better, the colors or the textures... I am a purple girl, so I will have to say my favorite is that purplish flower on the top one!! :-)
ReplyDeleteThey are both just beautiful but if I have to choose, I would take the second card. I just love the look of that die and you are just so creative in using it.
ReplyDeleteI like them both, but the first one is my favorite. I didn't know you got that die! Your card is so striking, colors are wonderful and the ribbon across them ties the whole thing together. Great job today!
ReplyDeleteBoth are great cards! My fave is the first one, the quatrefoil die makes it more elegant and interesting.
ReplyDeletebeautiful!! love em both!!
