I am playing along with the Papertrey August blog hop, which challenges us to make a card based on this inspirational photo. This is the first time I have ever tried to make a card based on an inspirational photo. What spoke to me in this photo was the jar, the books, the colors and the background print inside the suitcase. This is the card I came up with:
My friend Cathy Weber had sent me several stamped images of this little jar, which I fell in love with when she used it in a card she sent me. Cathy also gave me the IO Cover a Card Damask stamp, which I used to make the background on the red mat.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: PTI Studio Style, Fillable Frames
Paper: SU book print, Real Red, PTI Hibiscus Burst, Rustic Cream
Other: PTI Button Card Die, circle punch, SU Lattice Embossing Folder, Twinery twine, flower from stash
Thanks for Visiting

ReplyDeleteWow, I love it all. I was wondering if you got to try the damask background yet, and it goes so nicely with this challenge. I recognized that little jar right away. I especially like the embossed pinked squares behind the jar. Lots and lots of great design elements today Joyce. Realy nice interpretation of the inspirational photo. Hope you are having fun on your trip.

ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. I love the texture on the square panels behind the adorable jar of buttons. The colors coordinate perfectly with the inspiration photo. I also like how you placed the "notches" in the background panel - haven't tried that before, but you have inspired me to include that design element in a future project. Have a great day!
