Time Out #124...Reminder...

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this time is:  JOYFUL.

I made a very quick and CAS card using a PTI impression plate on my card front and some patterned paper die cut with PTI Phrase Play #8.  Now I have one more much needed holiday card for this season.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Chrissie , so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge.  Uniko is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

Time Out #63...Joy

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this week is a theme challenge with an optional twist.

The theme is holidays with the optional twist of no stamping (sentiment stamp allowed).

I decided to play along with the twist, and looked to my word dies to help me satisfy the challenge. I used a PTI Phrase Play die (joy) and some patterned paper for my card.  Quick and easy, once I worked out what I wanted to do.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Aileen.  We are sponsored this week by Uniko.

4 Cards on Sunday

Happy Sunday.  I've been in and out of my craftroom for the last couple of days--crafting between cooking soft foods and nursing my daughter who is recovering from getting her wisdom teeth out.  I finally have a moment to post what I have been working on.

First up is this delicious looking triple decker ice cream cone, made using the Ombre Stamping Technique from Make it Monday #208.  It's been hot here, and this ice cream would really hit the spot.

I am also linking this card up at Addicted to Stamps and More #139 for their CAS challenge and Seize the Birthday without toppings.

I just got this fabulous Bella Blvd owl paper and chose the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #181 as a great way to highlight the paper.  Normally I would hoard paper this cute, but I was smart this time and bought a sheet to use and a sheet to hoard.

I am also entering this card Simon Says Monday A is for...Apple.

The sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #118 and the colors at Color Throwdown #337 inspired my next card.

I am also entering this card at Simply Create Too #83 to use no digis or stamped images.

Last up is a card I made using a new SU stamp that I just got during their latest sale.  I think I inked this one up within 24 hours of receiving it.  I was originally trying to follow the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch, but the card seemed to have its own mind and evolved in a different direction.

The background is Super Gingham by PTI and the flower is Hey There Buds by SU.  I stamped the flower in green, on the die cut rectangle, and then again in Pale Tomato on a scrap of white.  I fussy cut all the flowers and adhered them with varying levels of foam tape to have some variety in the dimension.

I am linking this card up at Virginia's View #14, AAA Cards #37 Springtime, Simon Says Wednesday Spring Flowers, and The Divas that Cut In the Garden Challenge for April.

That's it for me today.  Off to watch some soccer.

Sunday Night Wrap Up and Card Drives (Part 2)

I'm playing along with this week's RetroSketches rs#127, where the sketch is one of my favorite cards by their fabulous Guest Designer, Tracey!  I am also playing along at Just Us Girls #263 and Addicted to CAS Code Word:  Vellum.  The color is a bit off in my photo, but my front panel is SU Navy card stock, and I've backed the open circle cut with vellum.

I've got another card for Tag You're It, and I am also sending it in for the Splitcoast Stampers Hope You Can Cling To challenge Something's Missing.  I did not color the flowers inside--they are missing a solid color.

My next 3 cards play along with the Pink Christmas Challenge at Jingle Belles, and I will send them to the Caring Hearts Drive.

These two play along with the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #158
