Sunday Crafty Round Up

Hello and happy Sunday.  I was crafty all week, and have many cards to share, so I will jump right in.  First up are a few cards I made when I pulled out Concord & 9th Cool Treats.  I pulled these stamps and dies out after I saw the inspiration photo at Inspired by....cool treats, and I will be linking all of my popsicle cards up at this challenge.

First up is my favorite of the bunch ( I think).  I followed the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #378 and am also linking up at Inkspirational #216: Sketch.

My next Cool Treats card is inspired by the challenge at AAA Cards #168.  In case it is not obvious, the little die cuts are snow cones.

I was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #441 and am also entering this card at Inkspirational #216: Sketch.

This one is just for fun, using one of my favorite color combinations, and I will enter it at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes.

My next card hits all the current MFT challenges...Wednesday Sketch #495, MFT Color Challenge #144, and The Birthday Project: Party Scene.  I used these adorable baking mice from Sweet Shop.  I am also entering this card at Inkspirational #216: Sketch.

I was inspired by the sketch at Inky Paws #126, and I used a dog from Canine Christmas.  You wouldn't know this was a Christmas dog from the way I colored him.  I am also entering this card at Inkspirational #216: Sketch and The Male Room #139: Use Die Cuts.

Maybe my most challenging design is next--trying to create a one layer card for the Stay Crafty With Hero #11: One Layer Card.  Lots of masking, sponging, blending and stenciling.  I am also entering this at A Blog Named Hero: Combine Old and New...Old is the birthday sentiment, and new are the stamps from Pier at the Lake.

Last up is a punny birthday card, inspired by the challenge at Seize the Birthday #193: Watercoloring, A Blog Named Hero: Combine Old and New--Old is the sentiment and fish die cuts and new is the Wave and Sea die, and Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #163: W is for Water.

And one more card, just for fun--it is the first card I have made from The Greetery Fresh Air.   I will enter it at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes.

That's it for me today.  Hope everyone has a good week.

Thanks for Visiting

Time Out #164...Reminder...Party Like There's No Manana

There is still time to play along with the current challenge at Time Out.  We challenge you to make a card inspired by the photo above.  Here is a bigger picture of the photo.

I was inspired by that adorable rainbow pinata cake topper.  Lucky for me, I just got some stamps and dies from Concord & 9th that were perfect for this challenge.  I die cut the pinata from my card front, and placed strips of cardstock stamped with a fringe stamp in colors that matched the photo.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Sathya, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge. Stamplorations is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

A Few Cards Mid-Week

Hello and happy Wednesday.  This is my second post of the day.  For my Color Throwdown Guest Designer post, please click here.

I finally received 2 dies from Hero Arts that I have been waiting for forever (weeks).  I immediately put them to work.  First up, I combined the new Mailbox Die with some pups from birthday Paw-ty to create my little scene.

Then, I combined my new Hero Arts Airplane die with houses from Hero Arts Welcome Neighbor to create the scene on my next card.  My colors for this card were inspired by Just Us Girls #541 and I am also entering this card at The Male Room #130: Use Die Cuts.

I am entering both of these cards at Stay Crafty with Hero #10: Create a Scene, A Blog Named Hero Challenge: Combine Old and New, and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Last up is a clean and simple birthday card, inspired by the challenge at Perfectly CAS #10: Sparkle.  I die cut my big happy birthday greeting out of some bright pink sparkle paper.  I am also entering this card at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Guest Designer....Color Throwdown #599...My Imaginary Neighborhood

Hello friends.  I am so happy to be posting today as a Guest Designer at Color Throwdown.  I love playing along at Color Throwdown because they have great ideas for color combinations.

When I first saw this week's colors, I could only think of babies and Easter; both are cards I have no need for at present.  So I challenged myself to think outside the box and came up with my card below.  I used Picket Fence Neighborhood for my focal image and a sentiment from Concord &9th City Stacks.

I hope you are inspired to play along with the beautiful colors at Color Throwdown this week.

MFT Deep Dive + 2

Hello and happy Father's Day.  Today, I pulled out some MFT stamps and played along with some of their challenges.

First up is a card with these adorable mice, and I was inspired by the MFT Sketch #494, the MFT Color #143 and the MFT Birthday Project challenges.  (I think my lights were all wrong, because there are some crazy shadows on this photo--sorry about that).  I rotated the sketch 90 degrees, then cut an oval out of my front panel and set it back inside, and also used score lines on the sides of my oval...there is so much going on with my focal point, I wanted the other elements of the sketch to be more subtle.

Another birthday party on this next card, this one starring MFT Birthday Bear and his big pile of gifts.  I am entering this card at the MFT Color #143 and the MFT Birthday Project challenges, as well as Addicted to Stamps and More #394: Clean and Simple.

My little hippo and little bear got together for a small birthday party in the corner of my next card.  They invited their little birdie friend to join in...who says 3's a crowd?  I did a little bit of masking on my bear, to get the balloon to come from behind.  I am entering this card at the MFT Birthday Project challenges, AAA Cards #168: One Corner & Optional Twist Masking, and CAS Colours & Sketches #375.

My last birthday party features cocktails, and it is for my daughter who is turning 21 next month.  She is really hoping to be able to go to a bar and order a cocktail on her birthday....if we are still stuck at home, this card will be her birthday cocktail party.  I am also entering this card at the MFT Color #143 and the MFT Birthday Project challenges.

Enough with birthdays, my next card is inspired by the challenge at Less is More #422: Solid and Outline.  I used PTI Fresh Bouquet stamps, which have an outline and a filler to make my card.  I am also playing along at The Paper Players #496: Clean and Simple Thank You.

I have a friend whose pup recently had some pretty major surgery.  I made this card for my dog Sherlock to send her to wish her a speedy recovery.  I was inspired by the sketch at Retro Rubber #137.
