A Crafty Round Up

Hello friends.  I had another crafty weekend, and here is what I made.....

First up is a card combining rainbow supplies from Concord and 9th and Mama Elephant.  I used Copic markers to color my rainbow.  I am entering this card at Addicted to CAS #185:  Rainbow and Addicted to Stamps and More #391:  Anything Goes.

Next up is a CAS One Layer Card, inspired by the challenges at Less is More #420:  Going Dotty and  the Project Reach Out Challenge to make a birthday card.

Another birthday card, this one inspired by the challenge at Seize the Birthday #191: Totally Tropical, a liberal interpretation of the sketch at CAS Colours & Sketches #372, AAA Cards #166: Birthday Bash and Perfectly CAS #9: Animals.

This card was inspired by the sketch at MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #491, CAS on Friday #181: Animal, and Inkspirational #214:  Funny Sentiments.

This card is inspired by the sketch at Stay Crafty with Hero #9, A Blog Named Hero May Challenge: Hugs from a Distance, and Just us Girls #538: Use 2 or more patterned papers.

This next card is inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #437 and I am using a Mama Elephant die that I bought quite a while ago and had forgotten all about.

Adding to my stash of sympathy cards with this card, inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #374 and The Paper Players #493 (flowers, sympathy, purple).

I am ending my crafty report with a pair of cards using Picket Fence Dear Best Friend stamps, which I just ordered during their latest sale.  I am entering the first card at Color Throwdown #595 and the second card at Cupcake Inspirations #494.

Time Out #162...Reminder...You are Simply Amazing

There is still time to play along with the current challenge at Time Out.  We challenge you to make a card inspired by the word "FREE"

When I was thinking about this word, I got an ear worm of that song....butterflies are free to fly, fly away.....  So, rather than fight it, I pulled out this gorgeous Stamploration Butterfly Cover Plate to create my card.  I created a colored panel to go behind my die cut by sponging Distress Oxide inks and then splattering a bit of water.  This card is long gone, having flown its way out to a friend of mine who is on the front lines taking care of patients in a hospital in San Francisco.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Joanna, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge. Memory Box is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

Mid Week Craftiness

Have you ever made a card for a challenge, and then find that the challenge is over by the time you go to post it?  Well, that happened to me this week, so now I am hurrying to post my cards for which the challenges have not yet closed.

Up first is a trio of cards that will all be linked up at the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  The first two will also be entered at Stay Crafty with Hero #8: Small Joys and A Blog Named Hero May: Hugs from a Distance.  I used stamps and dies from a My Monthly Hero kit from August 2018.

And a little bit of Boba Tea with some fun critters from Mama Elephant.  I am also entering this card at Perfectly CAS #9: Animals.

I'll be sending sunshine and rainbows to a friend with this next card, that I am entering at Addicted to CAS #185:  Rainbow.

And, last up is a one layer card for Less is More #420:  Going Dotty. I used PTI Initial Sentiments Birthday and a stencil from Artplorations.

CASology Week #369...Wind

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is WIND.  When I first saw the cue word, all I could think of was wind blowing.  I was stumped.  How to show wind on a card.  And, why?  But, then I saw a card of Sandie's for a different challenge, and immediately knew that I was reading the word wrong.  How about unwind, as in relax.  Or wind as in yarn for knitting.

I pulled out some old PTI stamps and quickly created this card.

Now it's your turn.  How does WIND inspire you?

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

I hope you play along this week.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the CASology design team.

My Crafty Round Up

Hello friends.  I've got quite a few cards to share today.  First up is a fun birthday card featuring a group of dogs from Picket Fence.  I am entering this card at Perfectly CAS #9: Animals.

I used the colors at Color Throwdown #594 and the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #436 to make my next card.  I am also entering it into the Ink to Paper Project Reach Out: Dear to My Heart challenge.

I am entering this next card at Addicted to CAS #185: Rainbows.  I used Concord & 9th Brighter Days stamps.

I am playing along at the Coffee Lovers Hop...maybe for the first time, but who can remember anything these days?  I used Mama Elephant Boba Tea stamps for my card.

Tracey sent me some stamped images from Lawn Fawn's Swan Soiree, and I used them to create this baby card for Lawn Fawnatics #77: Oh Baby.

My next card uses a die and some small images from one of my My Monthly Hero kits.  I am entering this card at Stay Crafty with Hero #8: Small Joys, A Blog Named Hero May: Hugs From a Distance, and Addicted to Stamps and More #390 (I was inspired by all the watery images).

I pulled out Paper Smooches Baby Birds the other day, and kept them out for a while, where I made a few cards.  First up is this adorable flamingo that I am entering at Seize the Birthday #191: Totally Tropical, CAS(E) this Sketch #373, and AAA Birthday #13:  Things with Wings.

Two more baby birds are on the way to wish my friend a happy birthday, and I am entering this card at AAA Cards #166: Happy Birthday (it's their 6th birthday, and we want to squalk about it).

Last up for the baby birds is a trio of flat thank you notes.  I always like to have these handy, as they are my kids' favorite size for thank you notes.  I am entering these thank you's at the Paper Smooches Thank You Challenge

And, finally, a card using my newest MFT die, Say Hello that I am entering at the MFT Color Challenge #141.

That's it for me today!!
