Time Out #151...Reminder...Happy Birthday

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  This week, we challenge you to be inspired by the words below...

I thought that quote would be quite suitable for a birthday, graduation, or even happy new year's.  I decided to make a birthday card, and used STAMPlorations Zen Birthday Background 1 for my card.  I colored with Copic markers, using greys on all the detail that wasn't part of the birthday cake image.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Helen, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge. STAMPlorations is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

CASology Week #358...Branch

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is BRANCH.  I die cut my branch from green card stock as well as vellum and adhered them both to a card front that I had added some subtle texture to.  Stamped a sentiment, and my super simple card was done.

Now it's your turn.  How does BRANCH inspire you?

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

I hope you play along this week.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the our Guest Designer Deepti S. and the CASology design team.  Our sponsor this week is Stamplorations

Penguin Cheers

I am popping in quickly to post a card I made using this week's MFT Sketch Challenge #467.

Feels strange to be making a card after my month of mostly tags, but I think I am in the swing of things now.

Time Out #150...Reminder...Merry & Bright

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  This week, we challenge you to be inspired by the words below...

I focused on the word 'merry' from the challenge quote, and put together a card using a few Uniko holiday stamps.  I really like this giant 'merry' stamp, and stamped it in a bright, bold red.  I built the rest of my card around this big red 'merry'.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Angie, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge. Uniko is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

CASology Week #357...Gingerbread

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is GINGERBREAD.  I couldn't decide if I should use a gingerbread house or gingerbread person....but ultimately decided to pull out this little gingerbread man set from Lawn Fawn.  I think that little guy on the right with the broken leg is so cute.

Now it's your turn.  How does GINGERBREAD inspire you?

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

I hope you play along this week.

Your Day Will Be Very Happy

I must admit that it seems a little bit strange to be posting a card, after 26 days of focusing on tags, and yet, here I am with 2 cards for CAS(E) this Sketch #349.

My daughter needed a birthday card for a friend who likes cats.  After rejecting the card on the right as "looks too much like a flag", I made another one with colors more to her liking.  One for her, and one for my stash.

Here is a closer look at the original card.

And the second one I made.

It is not too late to play along at The 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  Here is the link, and it will be open until Dec. 6.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019...Day 26...Bonus Day

Welcome to Day 26 of The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019.  We are so lucky to have a bonus day this year!!  If you are arriving for the first time, all the details and the link up can be found HERE.

Our sponsor for Day 26 is Hello Bluebird.

I was lucky enough to play with Hello Bluebird Merry Mice stamps and dies.  I am so in love with these mice, and tried to use as many of them as possible.

For my first tag, I created a scene with 2 caroling mice, out in a snowstorm.

My next tag finds another sweet mice, playing in the snow and making a snowmouse (snowman).

While I had all my mice stamps out, I decided to create a couple of cards .

And, there was a really adorable blue bird in the midst of all of these mice.  I perched this birdie on some holiday lights.

Please head over to Tracey's blog for more information on how you can join in on the fun and get a chance to win a prize.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019...Day 25

Welcome to Day 25 of The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019.  If you are arriving for the first time, all the details and the link up can be found HERE.

Our sponsor for Day 25 is Honey Bee Stamps.

How cute are these gnomes from Gnome Place Like Home?

These stamps included a variety of gnomes and fun punny sentiments.

The gnome even has his own goat!!

Merry Lights Stamps consists of one big and fabulous stamp which includes a sentiment and image all in one.  I colored the bright lights with Copic markers.

I decided to make a couple of cards.  For this card, I embossed in white, and colored the lights with different colors of Stickles.

My next card is a single stamping with a bit of coloring.  This would be really easy to mass produce and very flat to mail.

Please head over to Tracey's blog for more information on how you can join in on the fun and get a chance to win a prize.

Time Out #149...Reminder...Yappy Holidays

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  This week, we challenge you to be inspired by the theme of  CELEBRATIONS.

How about some puppies piling up to help you celebrate Christmas?  I used O Puppy Tree from Mama Elephant stamps for my card.  I think it would be really crazy but kind of fun to celebrate with this many dogs in one place.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer.
