Time Out #151...Reminder...Happy Birthday

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  This week, we challenge you to be inspired by the words below...

I thought that quote would be quite suitable for a birthday, graduation, or even happy new year's.  I decided to make a birthday card, and used STAMPlorations Zen Birthday Background 1 for my card.  I colored with Copic markers, using greys on all the detail that wasn't part of the birthday cake image.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Helen, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge. STAMPlorations is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

21st Birthday Card

Just popping in with a quick card that I whipped up for a 21st birthday.  I used MFT Martini time stamps and dies and followed the sketch at MFT #468.  I am also entering this at the MFT December Birthday ProjectSimon Says Monday challenge:  Party and Simon Says Wednesday challenge: Party.

CASology Week #358...Branch

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is BRANCH.  I die cut my branch from green card stock as well as vellum and adhered them both to a card front that I had added some subtle texture to.  Stamped a sentiment, and my super simple card was done.

Now it's your turn.  How does BRANCH inspire you?

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

I hope you play along this week.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the our Guest Designer Deepti S. and the CASology design team.  Our sponsor this week is Stamplorations

Penguin Cheers

I am popping in quickly to post a card I made using this week's MFT Sketch Challenge #467.

Feels strange to be making a card after my month of mostly tags, but I think I am in the swing of things now.

Time Out #150...Reminder...Merry & Bright

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  This week, we challenge you to be inspired by the words below...

I focused on the word 'merry' from the challenge quote, and put together a card using a few Uniko holiday stamps.  I really like this giant 'merry' stamp, and stamped it in a bright, bold red.  I built the rest of my card around this big red 'merry'.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Angie, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge. Uniko is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

CASology Week #357...Gingerbread

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is GINGERBREAD.  I couldn't decide if I should use a gingerbread house or gingerbread person....but ultimately decided to pull out this little gingerbread man set from Lawn Fawn.  I think that little guy on the right with the broken leg is so cute.

Now it's your turn.  How does GINGERBREAD inspire you?

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

I hope you play along this week.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the our Guest Designer  Claire and the CASology design team.
