L'Shanah Tovah

I am just popping in quickly to wish all my Jewish friends L'Shanah Tovah.  Today is Rosh Hashanah, and the year is 5780.  Where does the time go?

I used a new set by Mama Elephant which was free with purchase called Happy Chic Wishes.  It is hard to see in this photo, but the 'happy' is stamped in gold ink.  I am entering this card at CAS(E) this Sketch #341 and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

I did not get to make and send Rosh Hashanah cards this year, but whipped up this quickie, which is a prototype for next year.  Will someone please remind me next summer to get my Rosh Hashanah cards made in time!

A Sweet New Year to All

Time Out #145...Don't Worry

We have a new challenge at Time Out.  This week, we challenge you to make a card with the theme of Breast Cancer Awareness.  The optional twist is one layer with pink.

I decided to go all out PINK on my card, although did not make it one layer, as I wanted to paper piece and pop up these adorable birds.  I used CAS-Fridays Little Birdies stamps to make a pink themed encouragement card.  Gosh, I hope I can keep this one in my stash for a long time, which would mean that I didn't need to send it to anyone I care about.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Sidan, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge. CAS-UAL Fridays Stamps is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run for two weeks.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

Mice on Ice and NYC

I am totally smitten with the adorable mice from Lawn Fawn Mice on Ice.  Here they are sending a hug to my niece who lives across the country and loves to skate.  I am entering this card at CAS(E) this Sketch #340, Color Throwdown #561, and AAA Cards #149.

When I saw the new challenge at The Library Challenge #42: I'll Take Manhattan, I knew I just had to play along.  I am headed there in a couple of weeks to meet my daughter for a long weekend.  I used the sketch, again, at CAS(E) this Sketch #340.

Short and sweet for me today.  Off to walk the dog!

Time Out #144...Happy Anniversary

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  This week, we challenge you to be inspired by this photo:

Here is a bigger version of the inspiration photo...

I was inspired by the black and white graphic elements of the photo, especially the stripes on the floor.  I also used a green plant as a pop of color on my card, inspired by the pop of green plant in the photo.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Hannelie, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge. Poppystamps is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

CASology Week #352...Dragonfly

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is DRAGONFLY.  I used this wonderful set from our sponsor, STAMPlorations called Winged Things.  I just love the delicate hand drawn images.

Now it's your turn.  How does DRAGONFLY inspire you?

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

I hope you play along this week.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the our Guest Designer Deepti and the CASology design team.  Our sponsor this week is STAMPlorations.

My Crafty Weekend

Hello friends.  I had a fun and crafty weekend, and now I am sharing what I created.  First up is my final entry into the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #60: Create a Scene.  I am also entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #358: Holiday, Simon Says Monday Challenge: Stamp it, and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Bling it On.

Next up is Yappy Birthday!  I am entering this card at AAA Birthday #5: Use a Stencil, Shopping Our Stash #404: Dog Days of Summer, and Simon Says Monday Challenge: Stamp it.

I used 3 different dies for my next card, which I am entering at Poppystamps Challenge #60: Anything Goes.  Aren't those monkeys adorable?  My design was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #339, and I am also entering this card at Just Us Girls #505: Stacking Die Cuts

Less is More #404 wants us to be inspired by Typography.  When I looked it up to see what it was, I realized that I have many stamps featuring that element, and it was hard to decide with to use.  This card is also inspired by the challenge at The Paper Players #459: Marvelous Metalics (my ink is gold).

Last of all is another card inspired by the challenge at Less is More #404: Typography and also The Male Room #119: Autumn.

Dashing Through the Snow

I am quickly popping in with a card for several challenges:  Lawn Fawnatics #60: Create a Scene, Addicted to Stamps and More #358: Holiday, Simon Says Stamp Monday:  Stamp It, and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday: Bling.  I pulled out this cute little bunny from Lawn Fawn for my scene, and used their tree border die to set the scene.  Don't ask me why I did the sky purple--it just felt right.

Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday.  I am popping in quickly with a birthday card for my Sister in Law.  She is starting a new career as a Realtor, and I thought Altenew Neighborhood stamps would be perfect.

I am entering this card at the following challenges:  Shop Our Stash #404: Dog Days of Summer (look very closely at the brown dog in front of the house on the far left!, Inspirational #129: Crop (I had to crop the houses on the far right and far left just a tad to fit on my card), Simon Says Stamp Monday and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenges which are both "Stamp It", and AAA Cards #148:  Sketch with optional twist animals.
