Time Out #121...Reminder...thank you for the gift

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this time is a quote.

I focused on the 'grateful' part of the quote, and made a thank you card using these adorable reindeer from the Stamplorations Christmas Reindeer stamps.  I colored these cuties with Copics.  It is very hard to see in this photo, but I added some of the snowflakes from this stamp set in the background.  They have a very fun and whimsical shape, just like the style of the reindeer.

The side effect of using these reindeer stamps for 'grateful', is that they made me so happy, another part of this week's challenge quote.  So happy, in fact, that I decided to make another card.  I just changed up the sentiment placement and picked a different thank you.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team.   Stamplorations is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

CASology Week #319...Arithmetic

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is ARITHMETIC.  That made me think of numbers, of course.  And, addition, subtraction, multiplication, percentages, and of course, money!!  I created an all white textured panel using die cut numbers and numerical symbols and added a fun sentiment from my birthday sentiment stash.

Now it's your turn.  How does ARITHMETIC inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

CASology Week #318...Scary

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is SCARY.  I went with a kind of 'cute scary' because I had these adorable monster critters from Lawn Fawn.

I am also entering this card at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Halloween/Spooky,  Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Animal Antics, and CAS on Friday #144:  Fall or Halloween.

Now it's your turn.  How does SCARY inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Happy Holidays

A super quick post with a super quick card....I wanted to play along with PTI Transformation Tuesday #22 and Addicted to Stamps and More #314: Clean and Simple before they ended.

I am remaking this sad sympathy card into a happy holiday card.  I kept the basic design the same, but changed from white to kraft and used a cute critter, Winter Fox--one of my latest favorite stamps.

I am also entering this card at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:  Animal Antics.

Crafty Recap

Hello and happy Sunday.  I was inspired by this fun card of Betsy's during PTI Release week.  I loved her string of mittens, and strung up some brightly colored hats for my card, which I am entering at PTI Create Along with Us.

I had to break out my brand new MFT New York Skyline die for my next card, which I am entering at AAA Cards #126:  Moonlight, Addicted to Stamps and More #314: Clean and Simple, and Seize the Birthday: Anything Goes.  I created my moon by masking off a circle and blending several Distress Inks all around it.

A couple of Stamplorations Reindeer are frolicking under a starry night in my next card.  I am entering this card at Simon Says Monday Challenge: Starry Night and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Animal Antics.

For my last card, I was inspired to combine the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays #210: Pinks & Greys and Calling All Sistahs #18.  I used 3 different shades of pink and 3 different shades of grey, although it is a little hard to tell from this photo.  I used MFT Homespun Stitch Lines dies to create the random stitching pattern on my light pink front panel and MFT Grosgrain Texture Board to add texture to my dark pink front panel.

Lest you think I have been slacking off in my crafting, I thought I'd announce here that I have joined Tracey's creative team for her annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags project.  I have been working away behind the scenes, creating lots of tags that I will be excited to share during the month of November.  I hope that you will be inspired to play along.   Watch this space...

Time Out #120...Reminder...happy birthday

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this time is

We have a wonderful sponsor this week, Winnie & Walter.   I created my card using sponsor products Happy Birthday to You , Happy Birthday to You Cutaways and Cover Model: Multifaceted Cutaway.  It was a lot of work, but I die cut my card front and then individually colored each piece before placing it back, like a puzzle.  It was a lot of work, and I don't know what I was thinking, but I really like how it turned out.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team.  Winnie and Walter is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

CASology Week #317...Menu

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is MENU.  I had this cute image stamped when I was visiting Tracey.  So, my card says "Pie is on the Menu!!"  And, lucky for you if it is your birthday, because then the calories don't count.

Now it's your turn.  How does MENU inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

Cityscapes

I absolutely love cityscapes--in real life and also stamps and dies.  I have a large collection, and am always glad to add to it.  So, when I saw that Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge was Cityscape, I knew I would be playing around with some of my favorite stamps and dies.  Unfortunately, due to time constraints and the need to sleep and eat, I only managed to eke out 4 cards, barely making a dent in my collection of supplies.

I'll start with my favorite card.  Lately, it seems like cards made with Concord & 9th City Stacks are always my favorite of the bunch, and this week is no exception.  I stamped and die cut the main Cityscape image, and then stamped it several more times on scrap paper.  I cut apart the buildings, colored them all using various shades of BG Copic markers, then layered them up.  I am also entering this card at Where Creativity Meets C9 #26: Layers.

My next card uses Mini Skyline by TCW for a CAS thank you card.  I am also entering this card at CAS on Friday #143: Thank You Card.

My next two cards use Hero Arts Urban Skyline Bold Prints.  First, used vertically for a Father's Day Card that I am entering at Addicted to Stamps and More #313: Holiday (Father's Day).

This stamp also works in horizontal orientation, and I am entering this card at Seize the Birthday: Anything Goes.

Last up is a peek at a favor I made for the members of my book club.  They are small cubes of post-it notes, stamped with a literary quote and a couple of other, random images.  I packaged them in clear cello bags with a ribbon, and put them all in a basket.  I am entering this project at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything But a Card.
