Happy Anniversary Two Ways

I watched the PTI Make it Monday #323 Video on Cascading Die cuts, and decided to use What the Doodle Feather for my card.

I used Weathervane grey paper for my sentiment and for the layer under my die cuts.

I am also entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #294: CAS and Simon Says Monday Challenges: Masculine.

I was happy with this card, but felt like it needed a little something more.  I decided to remake it for Transformation Tuesday.  I changed the colors, used stamps instead of die cuts, added texture and sponging.  I kept the stamp set and sentiment the same, but on my second card, I used the largest feather stamp.

I am entering this card at PTI Transformation Tuesday and Simon Says Wednesday: Anything Goes.

Time Out #110...Reminder...New Digs

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this time is to be inspired by this photo.

I was inspired by that bright pink chair.  I fell in love with it immediately, and designed my card around it.  My green side table is a nod to the green dresser and my bookshelves mimic the colors in the wallpaper, which was too busy for me to try to replicate.

I used Paper Smooches Vogue Abode stamps for this card, and Copic markers for my coloring.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Ksenija , so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge.  Happy Little Stampers is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

CASology #302...Squiggle

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is SQUIGGLE.  I immediately thought of these squiggly arrow dies from PTI Get to the Point.  I cut a bunch of them out of white card stock, then colored a rainbow using Copics.

As I have been doing lately, I put my sentiment on top of my images, as I could not find a good place for it anywhere else.

Now it's your turn.  How does SQUIGGLE inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

Papertrey Challenges

I have a card for this week's Make it Monday #322 Above and Below challenge.  What a fun challenge.  I decided to use my new Seasonal Borders: Summer hibiscus flowers.  I have to say, that the stamps are beautiful and not too difficult to line up, but wow, there are a lot of steps to make one flower cluster.  I made several extras, while I had everything set up in my Misti.

I was so excited to see In Bloom, one of my oldest and most favorite flower sets featured at PTI Throwback Thursday.  I fell in love with one of the cards Lexi made, and decided to use that as inspiration for my Transformation Tuesday card.

Here is my original card.

Here is my transformed card, inspired by this card by Lexi.  I was inspired to make my card simpler, with more white space, texture, and color blocking with Copic markers.

PTI Blog Hop May 2018

I am playing along at the May PTI Blog Hop today, where we have this picnic scene to inspire us.  I took my inspiration from the camper and the black gingham, and pulled out Petite Places Happy Camper, a couple of trees from the Scene it dies, and created a black gingham frame for my scene.

I am also linking this up at Simon Says Wednesday challenge to use more than one stamp.

Short and sweet for me today.  I'm off to enjoy the hop.

CASology #301...Thrill

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is THRILL.  How about a roller coaster--thrilling enough?

I remembered that my friend Kim had sent me some roller coaster die cuts a few years ago, and I was thrilled I could still locate them.

Now it's your turn.  How does THRILL inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

Happy Birthday

Just a quick post to share the only card I was able to make this weekend--playing along with PTI's Create Along with Us, where I was inspired by this card by Heather.  It was fun pulling out my old PTI ice cream stamps and dies, and now I want some actual ice cream.

CASology Week #300...Copper

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is COPPER.  I decided to work with some copper embossing powder, and used it on this beautiful butterfly image from PTI.

Her is a better angle so you can see the copper embossing.  Straight on in the photo, it looks brown, but you can see the copper and the sheen in this photo below.

Now it's your turn.  How does COPPER inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

My Crafty Week--Mother's Day Edition

Hello, Hello, and Happy Mother's Day.  I've got lots to share today.

First up, how about a Mother's Day card?  This one is in my stash, waiting for next year.  However, if my husband or daughter go 'card shopping' for me later today in my craft room, I might have the pleasure of receiving it later today.  Playing along at Addicted to CAS #136: Mom and Retro Rubber #86: Beautiful Flowers.  I used Tulip Time stamps, which are 2 years old.

PTI Make it Monday #221 had us was Masking Sentiments, and I pulled out some old stamps, because it was a Throwback Challenge.  I used a stamp from Label Basics to highlight my sentiment, then masked it off while I created a stamped background using flowers from Super Succulents.

I used the color challenge at Just Add Ink #408 to put together this sweet card with some die cuts I made when I was visiting with Tracey last month.

Anita's Inspiration Card

I loved the simplicity of Anita's festive birthday card at MUSE #265 and took inspiration from her color choices, the streamers, birthday theme, and the subtle diagonal stripe pattern on her card base.  Hard to tell in my photo, but I embossed my card base with an impression plate with diagonal lines.  I am also entering this card as Seize the Birthday, no toppings.

I loved the sketch at CAS-ual Friday's #199, and used their Mon Ami stamps for my card.  I am also entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #291: Anything Goes.

It was a big week for sketch challenges for me.  The challenge at Freshly Made Sketches #336 had me reaching into my Canadian stash for some more stamped images from my trip.

And, my last card is a very special card to me.  I was inspired to play along at Layton's Legacy Card Drive, and you can read all about this sweet little baby boy who is honored with this card drive.  We had this mood board to work from, and I was inspired by the woodland creatures in the lower right.

I used the sketch at CAS Colours and Sketches #271 for this card.

Well, that's it for my crafty update.  I'll leave you with a picture of the Mother's day card I got from my fur baby.....
