CASology Week #273: List

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is LIST.  I am a huge list maker.  I've got lists on post its, index cards and scraps of paper everywhere.  I knew just which stamp I wanted to use for this challenge.  An old stamp set from Stampin' Up.  Any list that starts with chocolate is a good list in my opinion.

Now it's your turn.  How does LIST inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

CASology Week #272: Cherish

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is CHERISH.

I could not resist pulling out a very old PTI set called Chair-ished, and went with a punny take on the cue word.

I am also entering this card at Simon Says Monday challenge of Monochrome this week.

Now it's your turn.  How does CHERISH inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

My Crafty Weekend

A beautiful sunny weekend in Southern California, and I had some time to play in my craft room.

First up is a card I made for the Dog's Life challenge at Simon Says Monday Challenge and the color challenge at Just Add Ink #382.  I die cut the dog that looked most like my friend's lab in black, grey and Autumn Rose and arranged them randomly on my card front.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Lucky Dog and the dies are Impression Obsession.

Next up is a card using Word Ribbon and the Funky Square Tag Die from CAS-ual Fridays.  I am playing along in their CFC#185: Think Pink Breast Cancer Awareness.  I love this awesome quote, and how it can be used for more occasions than breast cancer awareness.  I am also entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #264: CAS.

Even though the colors at Just Us Girls #416 said Halloween to me, I challenged myself to make a birthday card, since that is what I needed more.  I am also entering this at Seize the Birthday Anything Goes.

I fell in love with the roses in Altenew Bamboo Roses, and used them with my copic markers to make a get well card, which I am entering at CAS on Friday #119 to make a card with flowers on it.

And, finally, I need to start making some holiday cards, so here are two of them.  First up is a card using the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #244.

And, lastly a card using the colors from CAS Colour and Sketches #245.  I used String of Lights dies from Lawn Fawn.

Time Out #94...Reminder...Belated Birthday Wishes

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  We have this photo to inspire your card.

I was wishing I had a seahorse in my stash, but since I didn't have one, I focused in on the brown branch in the very back of the photo and just went with that.

My card is so very simple, with a single die cut branch adhered to a textured card front panel.  I thought it would work well as a masculine birthday card.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Janet, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge.  Stamplorations is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

CASology Week #271: Sorry

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is SORRY.  Can you believe I actually have a stamp that say's "I'm so Sorry"?  It's part of a sympathy set from MFT, and I just love the font, too.

Now I have another card to add to my stash of sympathy cards.

Now it's your turn.  How does SORRY inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

It's Only Wednesday

Can you believe it's only Wednesday and I have already made 3 cards?

First up is this hot little number using the sketch at AAA Cards #100 (I rotated it 180 degrees).  The stamps I used are PTI Some Like it Hot, and the colors are hot and spicy as well, as I am also playing along at Less is More #349: Hot and Spicy Colors.  See the little green leaves---they are really chili peppers (just kidding).

Next up is a card inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #242 and the Flower Challenge #13: Use Your Favourite Flower.  Well, this is the hardest challenge in the world because I have so many flower stamps I love, and it is too difficult to pick just one favorite.  I decided to use the large bloom from Friends Till the End, as it is one of my oldest stamps and I keep coming back to it again and again (that's love, right?)

I was feeling kind of lazy and so I just colored the flower by sponging with Distress Worn Lipstick.

Per the instructions at The Flower Challenge, if I win I would like the prize from either The Ton or Neat and Tangled.  Thanks.

Last up is a get well card for a little boy who is about to have surgery--to let him know I am thinking of him.  I am entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Thinking of You.  I used the PTI Comic Strip Cover Plate and MFT Jungle Friends dies.  I think he will enjoy the googlie eyes on the animals.

CASology Week #270: Odd

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is ODD.  I immediately thought of odd numbers, and decided to pull out my ME Pandas.  I stamped and fussy cut 3 pandas out of scrap paper, and then framed them in red.

Now it's your turn.  How does ODD inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

My Crafty Weekend

Finally--some crafty time this weekend.  I'll start with a get well card that I made for a little boy about to undergo a major surgery.  I used the technique from this week's Make it Monday #298: Faux Epoxy Embellishments.  I used some of the preprinted paper from the Out of This World kit, adding a stenciled sun and the rockets and planet as my faux epoxy embellishments.

I am also entering this card at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: A Walk on the Dark Side and The Male Room #70: Anything Goes with the Option of Technology--My rockets are the technology.

My next card was inspired by this beautiful card at Muse #236 by Anita.

Inspiration Card by Anita

I was inspired by the theme of leaves, the fall colors and the die cut sentiment on vellum.

I am also entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #262: Make Your Mark.

While I still had that leaf die out, I decided to make another card with it.  I used the colors from CAS Colours & Sketches #243, and am also entering this card at CAS on Friday #118: Fall.

Last of all is a card I made for the Favorite stamp challenge at Addicted to CAS and More #121.  I have so many stamps, it is really hard to pick a favorite, but I looked at the labels on my blog, where I normally put the name of the stamp sets I used, and saw that Harvest Berries came up 17 times--way more than anything else, so that is the stamp set I used.

I also saw that I typically used this set for sympathy cards, but decided this time to make a masculine get well card.
