Happy Little Stampers Case The Designer July 2016...Just a Note To Say Hello

Hello and happy July.  I'm here to post a card for Happy Little Stampers Case the Designer challenge.

Our inspiration this month is provided by Carol.  Take a look at this adorable inspiration card.

I was inspired by the adorable critter in a window as well as the scene behind the critter and Carol's sentiment placement.

I used PTI Hello Foxy, and paper pieced the fox.  I cut a window in the card using a die from PTI Sending You, and then created my background behind the fox using some patterned paper with constellations on it and some itty bitty cloud die cuts.

Our challenge will run for the entire month of July.  I hope you will play along.  Please head over to the Happy Little Stampers Case the Designers blog to see more inspiration from the rest of the design team.

The 12 Kits of Occasions: June, 2016

A Birthday to Die (Cut) For.

It's time for our monthly 12 Kits of Occasion post, and I am the host this month.  I decided to focus on birthdays and die cuts for my kit.  I love making birthday cards, and they are by far the most common type of card I send out.

I have so many fun birthday dies, many of which have not seen near enough use.  I found some fun birthday paper from Pebbles, and chose my colors from that paper.  I used a variety of stamps and dies from several different companies, including PTI (of course), Hero Arts, and Reverse Confetti. You can see a complete supply list under the heading 'Monthly Kit Supplies - 2015 on the 12 Kits of Occasions blog.

Lindsey was kind enough to take a picture of the kit and create this photo collage.

Well, I'll get right into it, because I have several photos, and I am eager to get around to everyone else to see what they have made with my kit.

That's it for me today.  Please visit us over at the 12 Kits of Occasions blog, where you can see a list of all the other designers and click over to their blogs.

Time Out #60...Happy Birthday

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this time is a CASE challenge, and we have this wonderful card by Therese Calvird to inspire us.

Inspiration Card from Therese
I was inspired by the cut flowers, the almost monochrome color palette, and the stripes which looked like water color paint to me.

I used Watercolor Wonder by PTI to stamp yellow stripes all across my card front, and then stamped, fussy cut, and colored a Year of Flowers Mum using Copic markers.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Birgit.  I hope you play along with us this week.

Important news--this challenge runs for ONE WEEK only.  So, act fast!

CASology Week #204: Row

This is my second post today.  If you are looking for my ColourQ post, please click here.

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is
Row.  My first thought was a row boat, but I didn't have anything that would work as a row boat.  So, then I thought of things lined up in a row.

I pulled out an old favorite SU set called Birthday Bakery and stamped it at the bottom of my card, right above the sentiment.

It doesn't get any simpler or CAS than this one layer card.  I colored all the baked treats with colored pencils.

Now, it's your turn.  How does ROW inspire you?  I hope you play along this week. Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

ColourQ #348....Happy Birthday

If you are looking for my CASology post, please click here.

It's time for another color challenge at ColourQ.

I think I just might need to get that bathing suit...what do you think?  I went floral with this card, inspired by the floral pattern in the photo.

Please head over to the ColourQ blog to see more inspiration from the Design Team.  I hope you will play along this week.

Happy Birthday and Thank You

I am playing along at CAS(E) this Sketch #178 and Seize the Birthday with a birthday card using some new Reverse Confetti stamps and dies.  I didn't see a good place for a sentiment, so I stamped one inside the card.

I made a set of 10 thank you note cards for a friend who is recovering from a fall.  I started with a box of pattern paper folded note cards, cut them down to A2 size, embellished them with various thank you die cuts of gold shimmer paper, and then put a strip of patterned paper on the inside and also the bottom of the envelope.  I made 2 of each design.

I think it will be a very practical gift, as I imagine she will have many people to thank in the coming weeks.

I am entering this card set at Simon Says Monday where the challenge is to use patterned papers.

PTI June 2016 Blog Hop

Hello, I have a card for this month's PTI Blog hop, where we have this beautiful photo for inspiration.

I was inspired by the overlapping colors and shapes.

I used a really old flower set, Sending You.  I am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Add Some Shimmer challenge.  Hard to see, but yes it is there--WOS on all the flowers and Glossy Accents on the centers.

A Few New Cards

Hello.  I am back from my travels and finally have a quick post with some new cards I have made.

I am squeaking in at the last moment with this card which is for ATCAS #90 where the theme is Aloha.

I used the reverse stencil technique from this week's Make it Monday #253.  My  design was inspired by this gorgeous card Tracey has as our inspiration for MUSE #171.  I was inspired by Tracey's white embossing, flowers, water coloring and splatters (for which I substituted the reverse stencil technique.

I am also playing along at Curtain Call Tasty Tropics challenge.

I have been loving these Mama Elephant Pandas, and have two cards to share today featuring them.  I used the colors from JUGS #348 and the Googlie Eye challenge at AAA #67 to inspire this card.

How about some cute pandas, masked and stamped to create a crowd of pandas on my thank you card.

I am entering this card at Inkspirational #111 where the challenge is masking and ATSM #199 CAS.
