It's time for our May 12 Kits of Occasions post. This month, Sharron is our hostess and her theme is 'Here Comes the Sun'. She sent a wonderful package full of sunshine and happiness. So many fun things to play with, and nothing I already had.
I really had a lot of fun with this kit, and it was just perfect for a Southern California girl. I can see using some of these cards to send a bit of sunshine to my oldest daughter, when she is freezing in Maine next winter and is yearning for a bit of California sunshine.
Of course, I have lots of leftovers as well. I can't wait to see what everyone else did with their supplies so I can CASE them with my leftovers.
Here is a peek at the kit Sharron sent out.

Here are the cards I made this month.
Sharon sent all these wonderful little stamped and die cut pieces. I decided to color them in and sprinkle them around, just like if I were stamping a background pattern. I traced around all the pieces with a grey Copic marker to give the look of dimension, and then popped up that little lizard with foam tape.
I just loved this little jaunty bird, and gave him a shiny beak and googlie eye just for fun.
This island cutie reminded me of trips to Hawaii--we would often happen upon hula dancing shows in the courtyard of our hotel.
And, for this gorgeous and delicate butterfly, I decided to go a little more elegant and less cute.
I used so many of the elements in this kit, but still have so much left over. Thanks so much, Sharron, for sending such a wonderful kit.
That's it for me today. Please visit us over at the
