The 12 Kits of Occasions: April, 2016

It's time for our April 12 Kits of Occasions post.  This month, Tracey is our hostess, and she sent a a jolt of creativity and caffeine our way.  Her kit was chock full of fun coffee images, stamps, die cuts and papers.  Perfect for me, as I do not have anything coffee themed in my stash.

Of course, I have lots of leftovers as well. I can't wait to see what everyone else did with their supplies so I can CASE them with my leftovers.

Here is a peek at the kit Tracey sent out.

Here are the cards I made this month.

I used so many of the elements in this kit, but still have so much left over.  Thanks so much, Tracey, for sending such a wonderful kit.

That's it for me today.  Please visit us over at the 12 Kits of Occasions blog, where you can see a list of all the other designers and click over to their blogs. You can also see who our lucky surprise Guest Designer is this month.

Happy Little Stampers Case The Designer May 2016...Happy Mother's Day

Hello and happy May.  I'm here to post a card for Happy Little Stampers Case the Designer challenge.

Our inspiration this month is provided by Melissa.  Take a look at this gorgeous inspiration card.

I was inspired by Melissa's dark card base, her use of embossing paste, and her watercoloring.

I used a floral stencil from Stamplorations and white embossing paste on an Enchanted Evening card front.

After my embossing paste dried, I did a rough water coloring over the white paste.  I stamped and white heat embossed my sentiment, fussy cut it, and then popped it up with foam tape.

Our challenge will run for the entire month of May.  I hope you will play along.  Please head over to the Happy Little Stampers Case the Designers blog to see more inspiration from the rest of the design team.

Time Out #55...Reminder...Cheers

There is still time to play in our current challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this week is a theme challenge with an optional twist.

The theme is celebrations with the optional twist of die cutting or fussy cutting.

I made a birthday card for a wine loving friend, and used die cuts for my focal images and background stamping for the rest of my card front.

I added sentiments inside the card from the same stamp set.

CASology Week #195: Sprinkles

This is my second post today.  If you are looking for my ColourQ post, please click here.

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is
Sprinkle.  Oh, I had fun with this one.  Who doesn't love sprinkles on their cake?  Or on their ice cream?  Or on their card?

I decided to stamp an area of sprinkles, colores with Copics, to surround and ground my birthday cake focal image.

I am also entering this card at Seize the Birthday Anything Goes.

Now, it's your turn.  How does Sprinkles inspire you?  I hope you play along this week. Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

ColourQ #339....Happy Birthday

If you are looking for my CASology post, please click here.

Happy Tuesday and welcome to a new challenge at ColourQ.

We have a new set of colors this week.  Rich and deep, and perfect for a masculine card, I thought.

I used PTI Circle Scribbles, an Impression Obsession die and an impression plate for a bit of texture.

Time Out #55...Congratulations

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this week is a theme challenge with an optional twist.

The theme is celebrations with the optional twist of die cutting or fussy cutting.

I made a card to congratulate my neice who will be going to Tufts next year.  I decided to twist both ways--I used a paper clippings die from PTI and fussy but a Lawn Fawn elephant (which is the school mascot).

I am also linking up at AAA Cards #62:  Anything Goes.

I stamped my flowers and leaves in gold on water color paper and then water colored with Zig markers.

Time Out #54...Reminder...Happy Birthday

There is still time to play along at our current challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this time is a Home Sweet Home challenge, and we have this photo to inspire you.

I took my inspiration from the colors again, but this time kept my design more clean and simple with a lot of white space.

My stamps are PTI Brushed Off for the colored circles and Scribbled Sentiments for the sentiments.  I added a bit of texture to add interest.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Elizabeth and our special Sponsor Designer is Kylie.  We are sponsored this week by Happy Little Stampers.
