CASE Study #144

I'm playing along with this week's CASE Study #144, where our muse this week has this inspirational card for us.  I have to say that I have not been too excited about all the feathers I have been seeing out in blogland.  It is a trend I have been happy to let pass me by.....until....now.  I realized that I have a feather in my PTI Happy Trails stamp set, and decided to break it out for this challenge.

I have to say that I am really happy with the way this card turned out, and I think that little stamped feather is so pretty.   Now I am wondering why it sat untouched for so long.  I was inspired by the feathers and strips of colors on the inspiration card, and based my card on that.  I stamped a random procession of feathers drifting down my card and then used the back of the feather stamp to add some color in the general vicinity of each feather.

Supplies Used (PTI):
Stamps:  Happy Trails, Embroidered Blooms
Paper: White
Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black, Harvest Gold, Hibiscus Burst, Spring Rain, Aqua Mist, Spring Moss

Thanks for Visiting

  5. Aren't you the smartest person around...using the back of the stamp! I have never tried that but I love the result. I was wondering what was up with all the feathers lately too...feathers must be the new hexagon or chevron!

I love your feather card ,( I see another winner) it turned out great! I don't think I own a feather, unless it counts being attached to a hen or rooster. I fun that you found one in one of your PTI sets.
