CASE Study #97

Can you believe it?  Two CASE study challenge entries for me in the same month.  I think it is because Joy Taylor is such an inspiring muse.  Here is the card we had to work with.

I loved the simplicity of this layout, and used the Hero Arts Dictionary Greetings 'Hello' stamp to make a row and column of text.  I didn't have a typewriter stamp (note to self--buy a typewriter stamp), so I used this retro telephone.  I embossed the phone with black embossing powder and cut it out, using my craft knife for the bits around the cord.

My last entry into the CASE study challenge, here, received mention as a top three entry.  I wanted to thank the judges for that, and to say how excited I was to be singled out from so many beautiful entries.  Those cards were to be the beginning of a card set for my youngest daughter's Hebrew tutor, and I wanted to show the rest of the set.

Here are the first three again, this time with their matching envelopes.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Hero Arts Just Saying Hi & Dictionary Greetings
Paper:  Vintage Cream
Ink:  PTI Scarlet Jewel
Other:  Clear embossing powder, twine

Thanks for Visiting

  1. WOW Joyce, this is beautiful. I actually pulled these two stamp sets out to CASE this card later...left to get a pedicure first. :) Never thought to use the twine though. You did an amazing job with this CASE. I even bought the die cut from Silhouette America today for the telephone...this is too funny! Absolutely beautiful! :)

  4. Wow, you have really been designing some fabulous cards lately--I've fallen behind! Your stepped up challenge cards are just gorgeous, and I love your Dynamic Duos card--the way you combined all the neutrals with red makes it seem like a lot more colors, making great patterned papers. And i love your telephone card--you really captured the essence of the original. But I have to say that your Rosie Posie card sets are what excite me the most--I totally want to CASE you! Mind if I pin these cards on my "PTI cards I love" board on Pinterest?
